0 stars are too much for vans built by Wonder Vans.
BEWARE of the workmanship of this company. Upon pickup in August 2023 and continuing, this is what I’ve been dealing with:
1. Long crack in the wall
2. Furnace installed incorrectly according to manufacturer
3. Cabinets falling apart; wont open, won’t close, stay closed or stay open
4. Crooked installation of cooktop
5. Crooked installation of cabinet under cooktop
6. Major window leak
7. Major leak through fan
8. Shower coming apart at seam lines
9. Skylight not installed correctly and fell out and now broken
10. Sagging cushions
11. Floor lifting and buckling
12. Crooked, wobbly table
13. Horrendous caulking
14. Cracking ceiling
15. Electrical not working
16. And more

This was supposed to be a “custom” van but my choices were taken away from me in the name of building it as cheaply as possible.

This company refused to honour their warranty which includes materials and workmanship. The owner begged me for a good review. I told him to write the review and I would post it. He never did because, like me, there was nothing good to review about this van build.

I’ve been lied to, put off, scammed, and told to “just go” and come back months later to get it fixed because he was going to put his foot down with me returning for repairs. His employee told me that the whole van needed to be rebuilt but this owner said, “I’m not taking this thing apart.” The contract also states “full-time living” but after refusing to do the repairs properly, and with continual failures, Zach, owner, told me that these things are not meant for full-time living. He didn't mention that beforehand, when he took my money. He also told me that my van was his EXPERIMENT. He claims to offer you your “dream van.” My van is nothing but a NIGHTMARE van. As well, the owner could not keep staff and took extended amounts of time away for leisure, leaving a revolving door of unqualified employees to work on my van. Fortunately, I’ve managed to find Outdoor Thrills in Pemberton who does STELLAR WORKMANSHIP. The entire van needs to be redone.

Don’t be fooled by his 5 star rating. Some of the reviews are from employees or people who never even had a van built by this company.

Finally, I unexpectedly encountered another person who had their van built by this company, and only after a short time in the van, it is now for sale.

We are really happy overall with the service we received from Wonder Vans.
Right from the start, Zac took the time to sit with us and properly understand our needs.
All throughout the process, he proposed amazing personalized solutions and kept us updated.
Not only was the overall experience really positive but we were also really impressed by the quality of the build.

Wonder Vans enabled us to bring to life a dream of having our own customized campervan and, since we took possession of it, we have been on many adventures. We truly appreciate all the thoughts that went into each steps of this high quality conversion.

Wonder Vans built my Promaster over the summer of 2022. I was new to van conversions and Zach was very helpful throughout the build. The result was a beautiful build that has been problem free with the exception of a heater that was problematic. As soon as I brought the matter to Zach’s attention he tested it and then replaced the heater with an Espar heater at no cost to me and it has worked perfectly ever since.
Being new to camper life, I had a million questions and when I couldn’t figure something out Zach was always responsive to my questions. He must have been tired of me through my first couple of trips in the van but never showed it.
The builds they are doing now are next level and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wonder Vans to my friends.

In Feb/Mar 2021 I paid Wonder Vans over 40K to upgrade a partially converted van. I have tried to communicate with the company owners regarding the issues I have had with the van, but they seem uninterested, so I am left with no choice but to leave this review.  My last communication was an email to the company on 25 October 2023 regarding my displeasure with the quality of their work and I have received no response.  This is not the first time we have been ghosted.
We have had issues with the build quality since day one and in fact we had to return the van to them within 24 hours of picking it up because of poor build quality (Doors falling off, unfinished trim, flood lights and stereo not connected).  They did fix the problems and they were gracious enough to deliver the van to us. Another issue we detected the day before our first trip was the solar panels were not connected correctly. We had to stop by Squamish on our way to the US to have the problem rectified. These examples demonstrate the lack of quality control demonstrated on our build. We continue to experience problems related to the poor build quality and for your awareness this is what you could expect from one of their van builds, if they have not improved:
1.No adhesive used in the plumbing system.  Our sink drain was never properly attached to the grey water tank with ABS cement and grey water leaked into the interior of the van.  Further, no adhesive was used to attach the drain attachment on the undermount grey water tank, and the drain attachment fell off in an RV park when connecting the hose. The undermount grey water tank hangs lower on the van and has been knocked off travelling on a gravel road. We had previously lost one of the brackets and had to reorder a replacement after our first trip with the van. We had concerns when we picked up the van but were reassured it would not be an issue and it is.
2. The “slat ceiling” is not affixed properly to the roof as the slats fall off regularly and I am constantly renailing them to the roof.
3. The countertop was not secured to the bottom cabinets and slid off while heavy braking (big safety concern in my opinion).
4. The electric cabinet is not affixed securely to the floor or wall, and slides around in the garage (another big safety concern)
5. The floor they laid has fallen apart because they failed to build on a stable platform.  My van had passenger seats installed and while they did attempt to fill the anchor point with wood, it wasn’t done properly which caused stress on the joints of the vinyl floor and the floor began to break apart.  To fix it requires me to remove all the lower cabinets and associated equipment to repair.
6. The cabinet they built is flimsy and the stress applied to it from me removing it caused it to start falling apart, while the other one which was built by another company is still solid.
7. The window coverings that we ordered did not fit; however, they did replace these with ones that fit well at no cost, and we appreciated it.
The purpose of this review is to inform potential buyers of what they could be getting into with this company and to hold the company to account for the poor build quality of our van.  I am open to a civil conversation with this company to come to an amicable solution to this situation, and I am willing to update this review accordingly if they wish to communicate with me.

These nice people may waste your time, as they did mine.
I spent 70 minutes to drive and see them, then an hour chatting with them about my van. Then they couldn't even be bothered to respond either to my call or follow-up emails to say they weren't interested in the work.
Highly unprofessional and disappointing. The finish of these vans up close includes a lot of 90-degree angles and other cheap short cuts as well.
In short, caveat emptor.
