Robert G Metzger (Bob) The founder of West Michigan Instrumentation passed away yesterday 7/15/2015 at 4:45PM.

Robert Metzger was very much a decent man. Bob actually Loaned Alan LeMieux $10,000 on a hand shake to purchase Alpha-Tran Engineering. Bob then proceeded to teach Mr. LeMieux what he knew about instrumentation and control systems and many will attest to treatment like a son.....and partner.

In the mid 80s the business connected with the Federal Clean Air and Water act meant that business for municipal projects had slowed down. During that time Mr. LeMieux's now ex wife had her expectations of standard of living to satisfy.... (A Forslund of the furniture company)

Bob Metzger was a handshake kind of guy where his word was really his bond. Mr LeMieus had with Bob's permission incorporated the company Subsequently, Mr LeMieux pushed Bob out of the business in that he no longer wished to have to split things. And of Course Bob had no recourse nor did he expect to ever have to have one as Bobs mind never worked like someone like Mr LeMieux's.......Bob was a very selfless individual .....to a fault.

Anyway, thank you for reading and if you care to extend a prayer on Bob's behalf he would probably be tickled that you took time to think of him.

Bob is still loved and many will miss him and his hearty smile, sense of humor and laughter. The world is a better place because of Bob and people like him.

If you think the world is a better place because of people like Mr LeMieux perhaps you ought to at least get everything in writing.

Thanks Dad for being the man that everyone always hopes their children would grow up to be.
