This review is 18 months overdue. We hope the lateness makes it more meaningful since our van conversion by Van America is no longer new.

My husband and I have been full-time van lifers since 2018 and have lived in a 2018 Winnebago Travato and a 2019 Winnebago Revel. Kent and Zach at Van America helped us realize our dream of a custom van built to address pain points felt in our Travato and Revel and hopefully keep us on the road for another five years.

They listened to our needs and collaborated on ideas while respectfully steering us away from design decisions we might regret. In return, the Van America team delivered a true, four-season van for our ski and snowboard adventures that is also comfortable, spacious, functional, and practical for how we like to live and work in a very tiny space.

Since taking delivery of our converted 2021 Mercedes Sprinter in November 2022, we’ve enjoyed two ski seasons of harsh winter travel. We were wowed by the quality when we first drove it away from Van America’s shop, and we’re still impressed by the level of craftsmanship. Issues after a year-and-a-half of full-time use have been few, minor, and addressed promptly. Nothing urgent or disruptive to our work or travels.

Picking a van builder is scary when you don’t see the finished product until you’ve already made a significant monetary investment. But we were sold on Van America after spotting one of their builds at Mercedes Benz of St. George during a routine service visit for our Revel. A raving endorsement by the dealership was also hard to ignore. Plus, we felt such a high level of comfort upon meeting Kent and Zach.

We are beyond grateful for the random day we met because we still absolutely love the van home Van America built for us, and we genuinely appreciate the entire team. Once we've exhausted our latest van, we won't hesitate to use Van America again.

It was pleasant surprise with Van America!
I have cargo van to start with, I mean I have looked into few places to turn it into RV. To finish interior with wood, it’ll reduce useable space, so I was thinking of leaving interior open. When I found Van America has way to complete the interior the same as passenger van, I was gladly left my cargo van to Van America.
I brought every item like fridge, cooler, power banks, burner, folding table chair and such, told Zach where I want them. On my mind: Gosh, hope it works out…wished I could have prepared detail drawings.
A month after, I was speechless watching my RV, every items is in the spot tightly!!!
I was in the dream since then. Yes, the past month, I drove 3k+ miles with my two Manchesters in “passenger seat” sitting on top of my grill. Everything is at its place, and my RV is nice and quiet.
Late afternoon, at campground, I prepared foods from outside at back of RV while watching sun set….sure everything from kitchen were there. Van America used metal bars welding a frame for my kitchen with drawer-like boards carrying water, gas and cooler.
Lying in bed at night, looked around the hanging bags Van America recommended, thinking - what a luck working with Van America. I carried everything I needed as a month travel for biking and kayaking, and more room left.
Van America is so careful taking my need in consideration. Even the mini water pump, there is perfect space for it ?
After past trip, I am sure there’s nothing I want to get done differently. And am writing this review from bottom of my heart.
