Beautiful beach on the far end of Bowen Island. A great place to tan in sunny weather or have a picnic lunch. Sunset's are fantastic at this location and there are lots of starfish hiding under rocks near the docking area. It's quite expansive as it stretches quite a while. Has boat launch as well but I believe it is private.

Be aware there isn't much parking available. You're best to park on the road and walk down at times. Water access was the best at this beach and there are portions of the beach that are sandy as opposed to rocky. Excellent place to explore.

Located on the other side of the island (from the ferry terminal), the vibes at Tunstall Bay remind me of Whytecliff Park in West Van.

There's very limited parking here (pretty much have to try and park on the side of the road). Although there seems to be a parking lot for members of some kind of association.

Pretty place. Would be a good place if you have a lot of time and wanted to bring out a picnic lunch or go swimming.

This is a must go stop in my opinion, especially to witness sunset in my opinion. The sun and the weather are perfect to relax on the beach, and enjoy the views.
Lots of families were having small BBQs on wooden fires.
The only downside is that like the rest of beaches on the island, it's quite rocky but you can find a spot or two to lay down a blanket.

Great beach to take in some sun and goid vibes all afternoon. The small Translink bus takes you there if you ask the driver stop by.

This is a review of the (west side) beach. ]

This gorgeous, sheltered beach can be accessed by car, bike or bus. At times it is busy, and other days we have had the beach to ourselves. When folks are there, it is fun to watch people kayaking, swimming and picnicking.

There are 'rustic' but totally functional washroom facilities (bring Purel 🙂 I do not recommend it for ones with mobility issues, as there is a small incline down from the parking to the beach area. Other beaches on Bowen Island are flat.

Our favorite thing to do is pack a blanket, some pate, cheese and crackers, fruit, prosecco...and watch the sunsets that are truly breathtaking. It is a short ferry ride home to be back to work/life the next day but you will feel as if you have had a mini holiday! Bowen Island has some cute shops, restaurants, artisans and a riot of fabulous scenery if you feel like kicking around a bit longer during the day...
