Before you go to work for STI or decide to do business with them, let me give you some facts so you can make an informed decision. For the drivers:
If you do not mind having to fight to get your equipment fixed, sharing your truck with other drivers, and your opinion does not matter; the pay and benefits are worth it going to work for them. My husband was assigned a load, came home and took a quick shower, when my husband returned to the yard his truck was gone. Another driver was told to use it to deliver another load. My husband had to get into another truck and go meet the driver in his truck. All of my husband's personal items including meds were in his truck. If you decide to sleep on the yard, they may come kick you out of your truck for another driver to use. Wayne does not care about his drivers. The pay and benefits are good, I'll give him credit for that. He has no respect for any of his drivers, and because the rest of his staff sees that, they do not respect the drivers either. The Maintenace shop actually yelled and cussed at my husband. My husband is not perfect but the miles and money he made for STI speaks for itself. Yes, my husband is opinionated, but he was very loyal to the company and Wayne stepped all over that loyalty. Wayne is a liar and untrustworthy.

Shipping and Receiving:
DO not expect your load to be on time. I have personally seen where a load was supposed to be delivered on Saturday and was still sitting on the yard not assigned to a driver. It did not get delivered until Monday afternoon. Hope they didn't need it. Most of the time it is not the driver's fault for the load being late .

Before you do business with is company know what you are getting into.

I asked to escalate a matter with the Higher Authority which should have been anyone other than who I lastly talked to about my situation. GM got in his feeling or something because of my request and said we weren't got fits for each other. Open door policy is what I was told they had there, but in actuality its power struggling egotistical people there. Whom are Truly LIARS! TRUTHFULLY speaking had I known this company had this type of people and most of all in management positions. I'd Not have applied there, they not open to any reasonable fair decision, change up what they say just like the days turn. Unprofessional crooks is what they are. I advise all to stay away from them devils.

We contracted them to handle a load for us from NC to SC. Picked up on a Monday and was supposed to deliver the next morning. They let us know around 1pm on Tuesday they did not have a driver or truck that could deliver the load on Tuesday, and they would deliver on Wednesday morning. We checked with them on Wednesday before lunch and they told us they had a driver out that day and could not deliver. They are telling us they will deliver first thing Thursday morning.....It is 121 miles from the shipper to the consignee and they are taking 3 days to deliver. They may want to consider taking the word "Service" out of their company name or possibly add the word "Poor" in front of it.

Even though I was originally given the wrong address to come pick up a load here, I have to say that all around good folks here from the drivers to the warehouse crew. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and get another load.
