Roehl is a great company, but this terminal is awful. Completely infested with cockroaches, drink machine has been broken for months, food in the vending machine expired 6 months ago, showers are broken, the only courtesy car keeps breaking down and the ignition keeps getting stuck… not a great place, and is the second worst terminal Roehl has. The worst is Iron Mountain.

This really needs to be said here for others to know before they step into it. If you're coming into this company with a fresh cdl that you got elsewhere, you will be required to sign a 40k mile commitment contract. If you fail to complete your 40k miles you will owe +$4k back to the company. They say its for their time that they've spent training you. 40k doesn't sound like a lot of miles but you will find out that it's hard to get the miles you want. 1 month with trainer 12k miles ( which dont count towards the 40k miles) 4 months solo and 22k miles (nothing changed from when w/trainer except less miles). It's ridiculous to say the least. Work about 70-80hrs a week. Poorly functioning APU result in interrupted sleep every night. To many hours lost in between load dispatch, I remember sitting at nearest truck stops waiting hours over hours for the next load. Way to much time taken for securement review, probably around 1hour for securement and tarp review, this is ridiculous as well. If you pay attention to the load miles you will find that the loaded miles on your paper work are often short the actual miles that are on the copilot gps route, this means you get short miles. They also have this strange pay system that will take and give money from your paycheck, I never understood this one.... gl if you still want to try this place out. You can make your own choice but imo It's legal robbery and the new drivers need to be aware before they sign the dotted line. Roehl needs to revist the negative social impact they have on the new drivers. Every week you have 20-30 new trainees at 4-8k a head. You need to stop robbing us and focus on helping us instead of draining our pockets.

I started out with Roehl…my honest experience with them was great…I had no complaints until I Missed the birth of my son due to someone screwing up the permits for my oversized load.

My driver manager was ehhh, not the most experienced, often criticized me for not driving during the times they felt was best, I’m a night driver so they didn’t like the fact I was shutting down early with 2 hours left on my clock, though I was never late for a delivery it was still annoying when I’m getting asked why I’m not driving 2hours isn’t gonna make or break anything when I’m normally ahead of schedule!

The equipment was good I loved my freightliner…the international was okay as well didn’t really need a lot of maintenance since I kept up with the pre/post trips

Home time wasn’t an issue I was normally home when I wanted except for said issue in the beginning

Pay was okay…I mean it’s trucking so don’t come expecting $100,000 figures yet if you do your job put your time in you can make some decent money.

I would come back to work for the company, some of the companies that are out here doesn’t care, i never experienced this with Roehl

Roehl deceived me of a signed start up and denied my agreement/acceptance after weeks of development. One star for deception and miscommunication at start.

Its not the best terminal we have. Has 2 showers an the maintenance guys are cool. Some FMs need to get on the driver's about not putting the trailers in spots.. watched a guy put a trailer where it shouldn't go when there was plenty of spots to put it in.
