I am having trouble understanding why they call themselves a helpline if they do not help you at all. They were extremely unprofessional and refused to answer basic questions. I wouldn't have had to call if the state website form links actually worked. However, they do not and are inactive. They need to update their staff and technological system and learn some manners. If not, they should find a job they actually like.
WORST EXPERIENCE BY A STATE-RUN HELPLINE !!
I won't call again, but you will know my face soon.

I pay alimony every week. One week I filled out a money order that was cashed out, another week I was charged from my paycheck. But these funds went to my debt which I see in my account. And now the question is, did they steal my money or are there incompetent people working there? When I called them, they could not answer me anything, so I think that they should be dealt with in court. Has anyone else had a similar experience with them?

after sending several emails to this office, someone finally called me back. my issue is that they continue taking money out for arrears after the arrears were paid. i am now at about 700 in overpayments. I have asked them to update my job so they can stop withholding a month ago. My job still has not received a letter. Today i will be going in person to the office. iam not expecting much, especially after reading all these reviews. This system is designed to milk dads for money and feed these leeches for as long as possible.

I live in nyc I been calling nyc child support office so many times to get them to update there information and they are rude unprofessional im being bill in two different states for child support how that work im not even on child support anymore my wife works pay everything with her cash she makes from working why Connecticut state say I owe Arrears 11k just pay us 10 dollars a week but nyc still billing me saying I owe 20k in arrears and that’s wrong I’m not on child support anymore why ny still billing me not fear NYC need to do a better job people on the hotline given wrong information I need HELP please and thanyou for reading this

This whole state is garbage. Didn't realize I was behind on child support and got a letter in the mail saying my license would be suspended. To avoid this I sent in 5 months worth of child support at once to catch up. Didn't matter though. Now I'm getting my license suspended and owe nothing to child support. So I now have to jump through hoops and shovel over more money to New York just to drive. Word to the wise it you live in NY wear a condom

The customer service at this place is so poor. The guy on the 4th fl. has a disgusting attitude to be placed in a position to deal with the public. I got there at 10:17 a.m.and the board was on A7 (my number was A9) when I looked back at the time it was 10:41 a.m. and they were still up to A7. When I went to inquire about what was going on he got an attitude. Just because they're underpaid and mad they take it out on the clients. He even came from behind the counter stating that I was not allowed back in the office because I ripped up the paper into tiny pieces and told him to pick it up for his nasty attitude. What an overgrown dumb idiot NYC has working for them

Customer service is the worse I have ever had. When you call, they can't explain anything, they give you the run around, no straight answers and you are more confused after you talk to them than you were before you called them. On top of it, the tone they use when they talk to you is so condescending.

They are absolutely no help what so ever. When child support needs to find you or take your stuff, they're good at doing that. When you need something fixed or done, they can't assist you. My advice to you fellas out there, do yourselves a favor and save yourselves from 21 years of debt, losses and headaches. This system is not designed to help kids or fathers it's designed to reward bitter mothers. Don't have kids!
