Mr. Wayne Melvin is EXTREMELY Rude. He insists you have to use his service even if you do not want your family embalmed by his service. I called to voice a complaint with the company about the run around and mistreatment he did to my mother on my brother’s death and was cussed, insulted, threatened, lied to, and all around made even more upset. To make matters worse he argued with my brother’s funeral director saying he couldn’t pick my brother’s body up in Raleigh,NC that my brother would have to be transported all the way back to Columbus county NC where he passed then the funeral home would have to drive 9hrs both ways or he would charge my mother $10,000 plus hotel and food to transport my little brother’s body to the funeral home in Tennessee when my funeral director only had to drive 6hrs pick him up and do the embalming himself Mr. Melvin proceeded to insult my mother by saying she was lying and that I didn’t have the story correct. Then he proceeded to cuss and threaten me saying he would ensure that my mother and family would never receive the death certificate for my brother. Even more disturbing is he tried to tell me that my mother and I owed him for the transport to the state medical examiner’s office that the coroner ordered to transport my brother’s body to the chief medical examiner office for autopsy. I spoke with the ladies at the medical examiner office in Raleigh and was informed that since we did not hire Mr. Melvin to do the transport that he could not charge us $695 for the transport because the state paid for it. I apologize to anyone else that is offended by this man and if it was possible I would give him a negative five stars review because the way he has treated my mother, our funeral home director, and myself.
