I contacted the Leasehold Advisory Service and spoke to their advisor by phone. The member of staff understood my concerns and gave clear, concise and appropriate information that will help me address my concerns. The call was followed by detailed emails with additional information and template letters that I can use.
Based on my experience I am happy to recommend this service to anyone that has property lease queries.

Maybe it's a mistake to book an appointment on a Friday?The site seems so efficient with it's booking slots and reminders etc. I somehow wasn't expecting such a shambolic telephone service.

You are warned, whilst waiting to speak to someone at your appointed time slot, in that in busy times, you may have to wait a 'few' minutes. I waited for 14 mins - after my appointment time slot - before I had to hang up.

I rang back again almost straight away - was 'caller no 2', then 'caller 1'. And then after 17 minutes of waiting, the phone was disconnected their end.

Frustrating doesn't describe it......

Phoned on time for my appointment. Was told 4 waiting . 6 mins later still 4 .
Why have appts if YOU aren't keeping them .

This is the best on line advice service I have ever experienced. Kemi my advisor solved my query and gave me the links and information I need to pursue my dispute. She was very clear and knowledgeable, and patient with my 'layman's' explanation. She followed up my call within 10 minutes with a detailed account of what she has advised. 10 out of 10 for satisfaction. I would definitely recommend LAS and do not be put off by the need to book in advance for a time slot.
