It takes time for any business to build trust in the community. It takes even longer to rebuild that trust once it is lost!

Honestly after I purchased my 09 Maxima I never thought I would be back in a Nissan dealership for anything let alone having my car detailed.

Back in the summer I had a really positive experience with the dealership and thought okay, new people, new vision, new commitment to customer service.

I was still skeptical about putting my car into a dealership detail shop. I fully expected a part time student with a bucket of hot water and some dish soap and a clean shop rag to go at my car.

So I was put in touch with Spencer who I have discovered is fanatical about ensuring that every single detail with respect to the job at hand is completed to the highest standard!

The fact is that their detail shop is staffed with industry experts who have worked in and specialize only in the field of car detailing and allot of them have been in this business for decades.

The pictures tell the story! In the spring, when this car is pulled from its winter slumber, it will go back to Spencer and James Braden for the areas of paint correction that are required and honestly I cannot wait to see the results.

I would say based on all the review we are seeing that James Braden is well on its way to re establishing the Nissan and in my case the Infiniti brand in Kingston!

Brought in my Nissan last year for maintenance, which included engine oil and filter change. After a year, I decided to change the oil and filter myself, so I got the OEM Nissan filter. I was shocked to find that they did not put a Nissan OEM filter. They installed what looks like an after market brand called Omnipart. Which makes me doubt even the oil they used. Would have been 1/5 stars, but gave an extra star because the interaction with staff was positive. This dealership lost all credibility with me.

Our car went dead in Ottawa on our way to Kingston at 7am and -12celcius. The roadside assistance gave us a boost and said we needed a new battery when we get to Kingston. As we were driving we started getting a lot of “malfunction warnings” and the car acceleration slowed down.
I called James Braden Nissan service while we were driving. They were fantastic on the phone. Said they were busy but will get a new battery installed for us so we can continue on our way back to St. Thomas.
Hoping that the new battery fixes everything.
Sitting in the lounge while they work on things, I am listening to the staff work an EXTREMELY busy Friday before Christmas. They are all fantastic. The communication and flow among everyone is something I have not seen in many years.

We had an outstanding experience at this location! A huge shoutout to Spencer at the service desk for going above and beyond. It's hard to come by a great mechanic and customer service, but Spencer truly stood out. He was honest and transparent about the issue with my car, and got the repair done quickly. I highly recommend this place! They’ve definitely earned our business moving forward!

Just had a fantastic experience picking up my dream truck. Barry helped me learn about all the options available, guided me through the selection process, and made sure I was attended to and confident through all aspects of the deal. I appreciated his friendly and genuine approach to the sale and felt no pressure. We visited many dealerships on this journey, and travelled out of town to come back and deal with Barry specifically. Go in and ask for Barry!

And thanks to Paul for his help on the finance end of things- can be an intimidating part of the process and he made it easy, explained the options in plain English and was very responsive in communication after the fact.

Braden Nissan was the right choice for my purchase. 6 out of 5! Thanks again to the whole team.

My son owns a 2017 Nissan Frontier 4x4. In the month of January he had a problem with the engine light coming on along with the dash lights remaining on after the vehicle was shut off and locked. I contacted my local dealer in Kingston, ON located on Gardners RD.,”James Braden Nissan”’ and went for an appointment on January 6, 2025.

The dealership did a diagnostic and turned off all codes as they claimed they were past problems. The engine light and other dash lights were reset and I took the vehicle home. After 5 days the engine light again came on so I made another appointment to return to the dealership. The staff told me that another diagnostic was required but that I would NOT be charged if the codes were the same as the first diagnostic….they called after 1 hour and told me that they needed another hour of diagnostic….okay …and assured me there would be NO cost to me for that….in the end they had no solution to the problem and would contact “Nissan Tech” to help find a solution. I was then charged for another 2 diagnostic. I have called the dealership to see if any solution from “Nissan Tech” had come….the request was lost and another would be sent …I have not received contact with the dealership since.

I visited the dealership 4 times over the month of January 2025….it is now February 12, 2025 and I still have an engine light showing on the dash. I paid over $800 for 3 diagnostics that did not lead to the resolution of the engine light problem.

One appointment that I attended with the vehicle was cancelled AFTER I dropped the truck off and I had to retrieve it without any service.

I am a 67 year old …have owned …have serviced many vehicles and this experience has made me feel deceived and discouraged. My concerns for charges due were ignored and excused away.

I have now engaged a private garage in the area to attempt to resolve the engine light problem. I felt that this trend would continue at the Nissan Dealership and I was uncomfortable continuing service to the vehicle at this location.

My objective here is to voice my opinion on the service that was received from the Nissan dealership James Braden, Kingston, ON. on Gardners Rd……I give it a 0/10….as the cost related to the solution was zero.

I was given a couple of free car washes as compensation…..a slap in face along with very poor customer service and as I see it, unnecessary charges with no solution in return.

My only reprieve for you is to reimburse me for 2 diagnostics and an apology for the deception I felt concerning the diagnostics charges.

I will not be returning to Nissan for service.
