The place is an absolute travesty of a grocery store, but unless you’re driving to Taber or Medicine Hat, it’s really your only option…

$11 for a pound of butter, $9 for a container of half gross strawberries. They know they’ve got you in a corner and they don’t care.

The one positive that I’ll give them is their pumpernickel loaves are great for spinach dip.

It seems a lot of people are unhappy with the local grocery situation here. People inside are always very kind but the prices are outrageous. I tried to shop local my first while living here and it’s just not reasonable. I feel sorry for people (like myself sometimes) who can not teach the city and have to buy here. Fruit always rotten, store smells and it hits you when you walk in… worsens near the produce. I really want to be a frequent shopper here but I just can not. Would love to have a nice town store to be proud of…. Other towns have great examples…. Just clean up in there, lower the prices and it would be great….

I had previously given this store a 3 star review and that was being generous. But I now have to give it a one star review. I now just remembered why I have never gone back to this store for small pickups. I get inflation is high right now but if this store is charging six dollars for something like a regular bag of chips, which isn't the best example, this store is never going to get another dime from me. I get supporting local, but this is a bit ridiculous, especially when you cold go to Len's where things are a bit cheaper and the staff are friendlier. Things need to change at this store desperately.

Meat is always questionably dark, vegetables soft and going soggy, keep expired food on the shelf. Sell products that do not belong to them which has been reported to the respected companies. Using company signage that also no longer belongs to them. Triple sometimes quadruple prices. Praying on people who are stuck either paying his prices or going to the city and loves to gloat about his Corvette outside. Wonder how he got it. Ripping people off that's how.

This store is way to overpriced. For example a regular size jar of cheese whiz is 20 dollars. I don't know if it's a supplier issue or just marking prices up over 100% on some items. Save your money and go to the city for your grocery needs.

They offer a good selection of foods and beverages. However the cashier's there will scream and cuss at you if your mask does not cover all of your face. Its good practice to remind your customers that safety is necessary. But they don't deserve to be so mistreated if it in fact slipped their mind, or if the mask slid just halfway down the nose

I do not like shopping here if at all possible. I check dates on all the items I buy when I do have to shop there because I have seen meat that is brown and I have seen produce that has been sitting so long that vegetables are rotting and there is liquid in the bottom of the bags!! I would rather shop at Len's for the quality, although Island Market has a larger selection due to the size of their store.
