I'm giving one star because Madge the lady that signed me out made up for the disgusting attitude of the emotionally disturbed man I encountered when I first got these 4/11/2024 at 3:30pm. There were certain things i did not understand and he was just totally nasty. If I'm respectfully asking a question even if I misunderstood, why be nasty with a customer. I am not familiar with electric cars and I just wanted to ensure I was knowledgeable before taking it. Please manage your energy and emotions with customers or a job in the back is more suitable. Customers service reps at the desk are the face of a company. He's not a good representative of Hertz.

Also I never rented a vehicle and a rep doesn't walk me out to show me the car. I was just given the keys and told "Here its in the parking lot." Then rushed out of the parking lot by another employee while putting on my seatbelt. thanks anyway Hertz.

Unreliable service. I made a reservation to pick up the car, and it was confirmed. I spent time and money getting to the place to pick up the car. However, upon arrival, they tell me that they do not deliver cars on the same day and that they cannot give me the car I rented. They handed me a piece of paper with some phone numbers and told me I had to call to cancel the reservation. However, the phone does not answer, and I am left without a car. I truly do not recommend using such an unreliable service. No one takes responsibility.

Amazing service! Very helpful staff, Madge at the front desk and the guy who brought us our car, were both exceptional ! The car was a Ford Eco Sport, super clean and awesome! I’d never rented Hertz before, but after this superb experience will definitely rent from them in the very near future !!

Every time I return a car I ALWAYS fill up the gas before returning it. But when I get my credit card statement I saw the car rental was almost $30 more than the original price so I called them and they said I did not fill up the gas before I returned it even though I know I did because I ALWAYS do. I even made sure to show the employee the full gauge when I returned it. This is the second time they have done this to me! They are lying thieves.

Cars were dirty, they said they can't clean it because it was cold outside, I rented cars from other Hertz locations in USA and Canada in much colder regions and never heard this, I had to go to a car wash and do a complete interior & exterior wash and pay from my pocket.

The location is convenient as it’s in front of the train station.
The one star is because technically the only interaction moment is when you picking up and sometimes at dropping off the vehicle. Regardless is so bad the costumer service this guy at the counter has. It’s my third time in this location and every time is a bitter experience with Gabe, this man always has a bad attitude like he doesn’t want to be there but is disappointed to be treated that way when I’m just renting a car for work. Unfortunately this location is the best for my needs cuz is close to where I live. But I really encouraged Hertz to take action on this cuz this is a negative patron experience but just happens with him.
Also I do my reservation with Carla app and not sure how they manage the reservation system but is the second time with Gabe that he tries to denied my reservation today he forced me to have a EV car when is not what I paid for, and I don’t feel really safe on it. But it was that or go back to the 5+ people line again, because he said that he will take the real hertz costumer first even when I have made the line already and have a confirmed reservation, It’s so sad cuz I need the rental for work and is kinda weekly thing for me but I wouldn’t like to feel this way or go through this staff every week because of him.

Had to sign in to another account to continue to tell how TERRIBLE the manager STANELY at Hertz White Plains is. Stanley kept on insisting that I go to the Yonkers Hertz but I told Stanley numerous times that I live in White Plains! This miserable man Stanley ends up putting a comment on my Hertz profile saying that I can only return or exchange at the Yonkers Hertz. Which again Yonkers Staff Lee deserves a promotion. Demote Stanley. Long story long the White Plains store claimed they were unable to remove the comment / restriction. After speaking to customer service on the phone I was forced to Yonkers Hertz where Lee deserves to take Stanley’s job. He’d do a way better job.

If I could give them zero star I would. The customer service was horrible and the miscommunication ruined my entire day. This is the worse place to get a rental. AVOID! They gave me the run around and still wasn’t able to get a car.
