I wish I would’ve read the reviews before renting a car here. The absolute worst service I have ever received! If I could give them half a star I would. They charged me for a rental I couldn’t even drive more than 30min without the tire blowing out and the oil engine light came on. Hertz don’t allow you to take the cars to another location so I had to drive back to their location, which took 2hrs because the only tire they had in the back of the car was a dummy tire. I finally get ahold of them while on the way back after a hr of being stuck out and the front desk didn’t seem to care at all. When I got back to swap out my car they asked me if I replaced gas in the last car. Knowning that the only reason I am back is because they gave me a bad car. I finally get the swap and it’s just as bad the car had 30% oil and I was going 4hrs away and 4hrs back, there would have been no way to make it back without me having to get a oil change for a car that’s not even mine. I gave them back the keys and asked for my money back, the front desk guy said no because I had the first car for over an hr, even tho the only reason is because I was trying to make it back to their facility on a dummy tire. Horrible horrible experience. Read the reviews before going. Don’t waste your time with them!

Kenyatta was very very rude. She was being rude to my uncle that is 77 years old the minute that we walked in. He said hello and asked her how she’s doing and she blatantly ignored him whilst speaking over him multiple times (English is not his first language) and raising her voice to repeat what she said when he didn’t finish saying what he was. Also wouldn’t tell us the rental total price claiming she couldn’t see it. I had to jump in after seeing her being disrespectful to him for 5 minutes straight to which she started raising her voice at me and then telling us that she is refusing us service. I asked her if she noticed her voice was going up and mine was level and she continued to do so. She tried to refuse us service because I called her out on being disrespectful and rude to an elderly person. Thankfully, Ryan came in and helped us out and helped with our rental but she left a sour taste in our mouth. She claimed to be the manager but if these are your managers, you need to rethink your business decisions. Will not be returning even though Ryan was wonderful and she was rude and most likely racist.

This was the closest car rental shop from my hotel and I was a little worried renting from here based on the reviews but I took a chance and it ended up being very pleasant. Ricky is the new manager at this location and he's best. He had everything ready for me before I got there and even let me swap over to a car model I more preferred. I only had the car for 2 days but it worked flawlessly. It was clean and came with a full tank of gas. Drop off was painless and took no more than a few minutes. Would rent from here again if I'm ever in Houston!

A yucky and bizarre rental experience! I was waiting my turn to pick up my rental, and in came a gentleman customer to pick up his rental too. The staff (Mark James & Karen Brown) would not honor his confirmed reservation made weeks earlier because (it became clear later while they were arguing with the customer and lying their way through) he had reserved his rental at a bargain price. First, they told him they didn’t have his vehicle, and when he said that’s fine and he would take any car they have, repeating that even a smaller downgraded one is fine, they still refused and continued to be argumentative with him. They wanted him to take another, more expensive car. A classic bait-and-switch scheme. The man left empty handed and clearly disappointed. That was shameful and dishonorable enough on the part of the Hertz staff, both at a professional and personal levels, but what’s even more yucky is they bad-mouthed him in front of me after he left, when it was clear they were the ones who were unprofessional and refused to honor the reservation — their own company’s reservation! It was clear they lied to the hapless customer. It felt like I was watching a scene from the movie Mean Girls. With his deliberately exaggerated girly mannerisms, Mark was a meaner “girl” than Karen; he taunted the customer in a sassy, juvenile, low-class manner. I wouldn’t employ such a liability, unprofessional employee with low integrity in my own business under any circumstances. I felt dirty for both staff members. Instead of providing ethical customer service, they seemed to take joy in taunting the customer. That mistreated customer could have easily been my brother or father or me. Adult supervision is badly needed in that office. That was a yucky experience unworthy of any half-respectable business. As I was leaving with my rental car, Mark had the nerve and indignity to beg me for a good review. Unbelievable ineptitude and incompetence. Clear failure in elementary Customer Service 101.

Keyana has so much customer service. I forgot an envelope in my rental a black Rouge and she left herself a reminder to see if it was still there and it was when the car was returned and she called me to retrieve it. NOW THAT'S GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ⚘️? I will always rent at this location for sure. Especially if she's there. Ms. Lyons

It took over 45 minutes to get my vehicle. The gentleman that assisted me was the only one on site. He continued to take call after call instead of helping me. It took over 45 minutes to get my rental car even though he only spent 5 minutes with me. I was the only physical person there.

After receiving my rental they gave me a vehicle that needed maintenance. He said it was fine. They take an additional $200 deposit at time of check in, which wasn’t noted when I made the reservation.

When I went to return the vehicle at 9 am there were 10 people in the lobby waiting for someone to come out. We asked for assistance and they got attitude with us like we were inconveniencing them.

It took until 10:04 for me to return the vehicle. Jonnie did try to make it right and was friendly when he finally got to me. He explained to me that the reason for the maintenance sign was due to it needing an oil change but wasn’t due for another few miles and made sure that my card was refunded the $200 that they charged.

However the lady that was there never apologized at all and continued to have bad attitude towards me.

I booked a van rental with 7 passengers 2 weeks in advance through Expedia. The rental agency called me on Friday, minutes before close. They said my vehicle was damaged and offered me a vehicle with fewer seats as well as much less space than I required (a Nissan Rogue) I paid for this booking in advance
I waited on hold with Hertz for 45 minutes before I got someone on the line. This person listened to my issue, then immediately transferred me to the location, despite being fully aware it was closed. I waited on hold another hour. While next individual recommended I contact a Hertz location that had a vehicle that suits my needs and apply the balance towards that vehicle or they would provide an upgrade t no additional cost. When the location opened. I drove up there and confronted potentially the worst sales associate I've ever heard of. She attempted to not let me into the storefront. Despite the fact it was raining. I asked her to discuss this out of the rain, and she relented. She refused to do anything to rectify the situation or locate me a replacement vehicle. She claimed there was no way to refund me as Expedia had the funds. Expedia customer service claimed the opposite. Hertz had the funds. I filed a resolution through both companies. Both have rejected my demands for a refund, despite offering me no recourse or doing anything reasonable to accomodate my needs and our agreement. At this point they have stolen $647.00 from me. Expedia was only willing to return the 120.00 i paid for additional insurance and roadside ssistance. I had to rent a new vehicle from Budget on short notice, which cost me double, and delayed my trip.plans by 5 hours. Do not rent from Hertz, especially this location. That employee as well as everyone I dealt with are awful. Hertz are a bunch of fraudsters and are horrible in general. I don't recommend their services or that if Expedia any longer. I have filed a dispute with my credit agency.
