The worst company service in the Richmond Area.
2 times had to reschedule for the technician to show up and still no showing. they keep saying the same story "The technician was there, no one open the door", when there are people working from home. The second time, "The technician called and he didn't get any answer so he cancel the appointment" checked my call history and no call from the technician or GE Appliance Repair at all. Had to call Select Home Warranty to made an investigation and had a triple call and GE Appliance Repair said "the technician called out for work today" Now I have a reschedule appointment coming in December. I will post an update for good or bad, start thinking to initiate a lawsuit for Christmas time.

G.E. makes poor products that break down before warranty is over, gives official repair service that is incompetent in diagnosing and fixing their own products, will make your problem worse, will damage your house, and will cancel and reschedule over and over again, and all the while have you speak with customer service agents who have no power, are rude, and frequently drop the call. After 7 weeks and $401, I ended up with damaged wallpaper, nonfunctional washer, and flooded floor (3 floors up in a townhouse) and additional fees to pay the new repair company who finally resolved our problems next day.

After my dryer broke, it took more than a week to get an appointment. After diagnosing what we think to be the problem, the part is ordered to be repaired 1 week later, the day before I get a call saying it's back ordered and will be another 7 to 10 business days... The kicker is that they won't even schedule an appointment until it's ordered so I'll have to wait another week after I even get the part to get on their schedule.

Horrendous service, no accountability, and no one to speak with that has any ability to help.

My under warranty dishwasher has been leaking for months, internal, not door gasket. I'm on the 4th reschedule. The tech has cancelled for one reason or another and reschedule is always 2 weeks out. This time I called the dispatcher and he said the appointment moved from 8 am to 12:00pm he called back and said he had to reschedule again. I guess they don't do warranty repair when they can do billable repair.

My dishwasher broke in July. Now 6 months later I still have not reached a satisfactory outcome. I feel bad leaving this review because almost all of the individuals I have worked with have clearly worked hard and been professional. The flip side is that it takes hours for someone to answer the phone, weeks to schedule service visits, and service visits can be canceled for unclear reasons. It may be a staffing issue but I would not recommend this to anyone.

I almost never write reviews, but after my experience with GE's repair service I just couldn't let this go. Very disappointed with the GE repair service, both the tech and their customer service support.

Our dishwasher is less than 6 years old, it just stopped heating up the water and heat drying the dishes one day. We called and scheduled a GE tech to come out to repair it, we WANTED someone from GE and not a side company because we believe that they know their machines best. Well, the tech arrived within a reasonable time but did not physically inspect the machine. All he did was pull his laptop out and look up the symptoms of what we had already explained when we made the appt. Of course he did not have the parts with him, because what reasonable repair tech does, and charged us $100 and left.

He arrived about a week or so later, we never got the parts and he didn't have them either. Thankfully the tech had enough common sense to not even bring up charging us for GE's own backorder issues and left. I had made a follow up call to make an appt because whatever parts he ordered came in. Tech came out a week and a half later and installed the parts. He did not test anything and just said it will now work. Was charged $225.92, this whole process from start to finish was almost 2 months. Fast forward to dinner time we loaded the dishwasher and ran it, and lo and behold it did not work.

Frustrated at the idea of being duped and not wanting to be charged again for another appt, I did less than 15 minutes of online research only to find out that it was the Flood Switch Assembly that was the problem all along, a $26 part that took less than 5 min to switch out.

My problem is that the repair tech did not even bother to look at this part, which I might add is the CHEAPEST part to order out of the repair, and that online the manual even states that it should be the first to be checked when there is a problem. Mind you, this part is easily accessible because it is located under the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher...

I called GE to complain about this, I'm 32 weeks pregnant and was furloughed due to COVID-19 so I would have assumed they would have had some customer service to offer at least a partial refund for work that never fixed the machine, only to be told that they don't refund service calls or labor fees.

Apparently the tech never charged us for parts, which I felt was suspicious because if he replaced the wrong parts and knew it wouldn't work, he'd get paid again to come out and fix the machine again. So you can see where I obviously have trust issues with that..

The customer service representative was no help and at times got defensive when I openly asked for a refund as the job was to fix the dishwasher and not pump it full of useless parts. I've worked in customer service for 5 years and I was extremely disappointed at how this rep handled the situation, I get the that customer is not right 100% of the time, HOWEVER if I am to pay for a service I expect it to work at the end of the day and not be charged for the tech's own uneducated guesses. I must have sat on the phone waiting for someone to answer for almost an hour, are they just under staffed?

Overall I strongly do not recommend this repair company, and suggest that another company be called if you can't do the repairs yourself.

Took off to have my dishwasher repaired. Appointment window was 1-5pm. Called to check on technician only for rep to say tech came but cancelled because no one was home. LIES!!!!! I was home the entire day. No one came no called and thwt really think I am going to take off another day so they can screw me over? The absolute worst.
