The van hire, initially, was very reasonable. However, the extra insurance was £34.99 for the day. Plus I had to pay a £200 deposit, which they said would be refunded automatically when I returned the van, it was returned in 'excellent' condition but the deposit hasn't been refunded straight away.

I frequently use hire cars for business travel particularly at airports. Where I can I choose Enterprise Mobility / Rent-a-car for their professionalism and great service. Today Michael Digan, Manager at Urmston branch raised the bar with a great upgrade and complimentary insurance (removing an admin hassle for me) when the vehicle I had booked couldn’t be supplied. I arrived in comfort at my business conference in Hants. #enterprise #rental

We really wanted to hire from Enterprise Urmston (our nearest branch) on a Saturday afternoon. They close at 1pm and don't open till Monday?! They also wanted to charge two days rental for the inconvenience of them being closed on a Sunday. Surely weekends would be your busiest time?

I feel that in our post COVID world, customer service has dropped. The guys at this Enterprise office really know what outstanding customer service is.
They let me pick up the van before the agreed time with no issues and, on the return I made an error and they could have applied the rules or T&C's, but they issued a full refund.

I recently rented a Luton Van with tail lift to use over the weekend from the Urmston branch which is in Manchester. Unfortunately I caught the side of the van with a surface scratch that took away the paint. Being a private hire I decided not to take the excess waiver and when I returned the van on the Monday was asked to leave a deposit of £1,150.00 which is correct for their terms and conditions. The Branch Manager inspected the scratch and said it would be a couple of hundred pounds which I thought was fair. To cut a long story short the van was returned 14th June and after a lot of chasing the van was to have been repaired by a mobile paint company on the 1st July, which I was told he could not carry out for lack of a ladder. That it was to be sorted the following day. To my shock the next day I was informed the scratch now cost £1000 to repair. Having taken photographs I approached a local garage that are authorised to paint commercial vehicles and was told £300 as it was 'a surface' scratch. I have emailed the Managing Director, Area Manager, Branch Manager and was told there was a lot more damage. I have photographs of the actual damage and this is not a £1000 repair, I have been told the glass fibre had been damaged but it is a surface scratch, I would like your feedback on 'When does a £300 turn into a £1000 repair'
