Pas de transfert prévu il a fallu payer 100 USD de taxi
Rendez-vous check-in à 12:30, RV à disposition seulement à 4:30 pm, 1/4 heure de vagues explications par une personne pressée de partir en week-end et priés de s’en aller vite car fermeture à 5:00 pm
Ne répondent pas aux e-mails quand on a une question à poser

Avis très mitigé pour cette location. Le personnel est très sympa et attentif, il fait ce qu'il peut pour rattraper les problèmes mais hélas le reste du mal à suivre. Récupération du véhicule prévu à 13h, nous partirons qu'à 17h30, autant dire une première journée de gâchée (nous avons obtenu un geste commercial de 100$ pour ce désagrément).
On a beau être au courant des frais supplémentaires à la récupération du véhicule cela fait rager de payer près de 200$ pour la préparation du véhicule quand on le récupère 3h en retard, et que l'on se rend compte qu'en prenant le kit cuisine vous n'avez ni fourchette, cuillère, verres ou assiettes ... ceux ci étant inclus dans le kit nuit (chercher l'erreur ... une honte) sans parler de la poêle livrée dans le kit avec laquelle il est juste impossible de cuisiner tellement la qualité est nulle et que tout accroche !
Le véhicule en lui même était propre mais bourré d'imperfections : pompe à eau qui fuit, store qui se déroule tout seul, gazinière mal fixée qui fait un bruit d'enfer, porte du placard de la salle de bain cassée, porte de la douche mal graissée qui ne s'ouvre pas, fenêtre du salon qui se délocked toute seule, moteur qui chauffe ... bref un tas de petits embêtements qui prennent la tête en voyage. Le personnel était désolé pour tout cela, et je leur remercie pour leur compréhension, hélas cela ne rattrape pas la mauvaise qualité du RV
Le prix de location était intéressant, mais au final, si je devais repartir en camping car aux états unis, je pense que j'irai voir un concurrent

We had a fantastic time at Dove Springs. The motor home ran very well and the heater was very welcoming as it was cold at night. The only issue I had was the generator wouldn’t start especially in the mornings. I had to start up the engine for a bit in order to start the generator or use the emergency start in the cab. Not a big problem but just an inconvenience.

We rented the RV for our family trip to Santa Barbara. The pick up location is convenient. The cleaning and dumping fee is very reasonable than renting through the private owner. There was an agent who walked you through and explained everything you needed to know. They also have a $50 discount after issue date for 12 months for you for the next trip. Definitely be back soon !!

The manager of El Monte RV rental was very nice and very professional. Our Rv worked perfectly fine, was very comfortable
and we had a great time.

The process to pick up was lengthy because they have appointments. I went in at my appointed time but had to wait at least 30 minutes. Since we wanted to get going, this was not ideal. I wish they would let you pick them up earlier. I paid for the 4 th night. We did not use it that day, but I did drop it off at 3 on the 3rd day. So basically, I had to pay for an extra day (mandatory). The motor home was great. No problems. The staff were nice. Since I had done everything online, that part went smoothly. I did contact my own insurance for coverage.

Nightmare on Wheels – Worst RV Rental Experience Ever

Review:
I recently had the misfortune of renting an RV from El Monte RV, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. I paid over $10,000 for a 10-day rental of a Class A 34-foot RV, specifically requesting the FR3 model that’s advertised on their website. Instead, I was given a heavily used and cheap Pursuit model that was nothing short of a death trap.

From the moment I inspected the RV, it was clear that this vehicle was a nightmare. The engine was incredibly difficult to start, taking a full five minutes just to turn over, and when it finally did, it made strange, concerning noises. The generator was no better – it kept stalling and freezing, but when I brought this up, the staff insisted it was "normal." Keep in mind, I’ve rented from El Monte RV at least five times before, and I can assure you, this is NOT normal.

When I tried to operate the slider, it made horrible breaking sounds, and to top it off, the air conditioning kept tripping the breakers. The interior was even worse – it looked like it had been through a war zone. The walls were falling apart, the couches were torn, and the drawers were so poorly maintained that I got a splinter within the first 10 minutes. This RV was a safety hazard, plain and simple.

When I spoke to the so-called manager, Shahram, he was incredibly rude and condescending. He had the audacity to tell me that I should be thankful for the RV. When I explained that it wasn’t running correctly, he offered me a much smaller 24-foot Class C RV but insisted I would still have to pay the same price. No discount, no apology, just a “take it or leave it” attitude. He even refused to help me find an alternative RV at another location, telling me to call them myself. This is how they treat a loyal customer?

So here I am, stuck with a broken-down RV that has a non-functional generator, no working AC, and a list of safety issues a mile long. I can’t even feel safe driving my kids in this thing. The bottom line: El Monte RV, especially with a manager like Shahram, is a company that doesn’t care about their customers or the quality of their vehicles. I received no resolution, no discount, just bad attitude and a broken RV. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place like the plague. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

We even called Leslie while we were on our vacation to ask a question about the oven, and she was able to help us right away. Her prompt assistance made our trip even more enjoyable.
