Do not under any circumstances ever hire EHS Construction Services out of Mulberry, Florida. We have never had so many problems with a company before. They promise you everything that you want and then deliver nothing but headaches and frustration. The company has horrible communication and time management skills, and they don’t care at all about the quality of work that they perform. They didn’t just give us a horrible paint job that had to be completely repainted (the entire house and shed both), but they also damaged our property. The exterior of our house and shed are stucco, they were originally pale yellow, and we had them painted a light gray. We could still see the original yellow color sporadically all over the house and shed because EHS only did one coat and would not put on a second coat. Due to their lazy don’t care attitude about the job we have paint all over our pavers, large overhead garage door, our soffits, and our brand new (four months old) pool cage and screen. They used a paint sprayer on part of our house and taped NOTHING off and used zero drop cloths. We are still trying to figure out how to get exterior paint off our soffits and pavers. We are going to have to pay to have part of our pool screens replaced because of the paint drips and runs they left on our screens. ALL of this could have been avoided if they had properly taped off the area and had used drop cloths. I have nothing positive to say about our experience with EHS. We have been dealing with EHS since April, it is now eight months later, and the job still isn’t finished. At this point unfortunately, we are going to have to finish this job ourselves. Hopefully, we can save someone else from going through all the headaches that we had to deal with.

UPDATE: Gerald called us immediately after the Better Business Bureau contacted him about our complaint with them. Gerald had never been informed about all of the times that we contacted his office and complained about the problems that we were having with the painters assigned to work on our home. Gerald was at our home immediately walking around our entire property and discussing our concerns with the lack of quality and care that we had received from the other members of his crew.

Within two days he had a young man at our house totally focused on cleaning up and resolving every issue that we had addresssed with Gerald. This young man worked on our home part-time (which was 100% appropriate because of the weather) until we were completely satisfied with the paint job on our home. EHS allowed us to use the same company that installed our pool cage to replace the sections of screen that had paint on them. We wanted to be sure that the new screen was a complete match to the damaged screen that was being replaced. Gerald has done an excellent job of staying in touch with us while resolving our complaint. We are waiting on final payment from EHS (totally on us, we just had the screen replaced because the company that we wanted to use was extremely busy), but we are 100% satisfied with the way that Gerald has handled our complaint!

Please run away from this company.
My sister and I hired them to do a septic at her house and mine. Gerald, manager/Owner, asked each of us for a 50% deposit and so we did.
After 2 weeks he left 8 truckloads of dirt and on the fourth week a plumber arrived who said he had not arrived earlier because he was on vacation. Gerald told us that the plumber had not arrived because he was sick. From then on every day was a lie.
They went to work 2 days less than 2 hours each day and disappeared.
An inspector from the Health Department arrived at the property and upon checking the land and the work they had started, EVERYTHING was wrong. They gave us the list of the problem we had
The land was not suitable and the work was a disaster.
My husband called Gerald to ask him to return the deposit because he had already hurt us and he didn't know how to do the job.
Gerald arrived at the property to pick up a small excavator that he had left behind.
He promised to fix everything, but we no longer believed a single word of him. He is a LIAR, UNPROFESSIONAL.
I want our money back because we already did the work with another company that had to fix the mess that EHS did plus the septic work from scratch.
The new company did the septics for both houses in one week.
