Terrible customer service, use them weekly and today they forgot to send a car for my scheduled pickup. Kept saying he’s in traffic, would keep me on hold for 15 minutes to supposedly check with the driver. They say time is money well my time is money too. I understand that they may be traffic but the car was 1 hour late so they clearly forgot to send a car for me. They are not doing me a favor I am the customer and pay for this service. Unfortunately cannot use them again.

Had used Eastern Car Service religiously for the last 10 years so it’s disappointing to write this. The last 2 times I’ve booked a car, a day in advance mind you, the car either showed up 45 minutes late or not at all. First time could have just been a fluke, but twice in a row is just ridiculous. It’s unfortunate bc they offer a good flat rate to airports, but I cannot justify the rate for the inconsideration of time and bookings.

EDIT: my mother called a car from eastern this week (despite my protests) and AGAIN it was so disappointing. My mother explicitly said we’d need a larger car and they sent us a normal sized car, completely ignoring the request. They promised to make up for it by giving us the smaller car price for the larger car, however the driver was not updated with this info and seemed upset we didn’t give him more, unfortunate on all ends.

I had a car come pick me up last week in Sunset park, I was over charged and in fear of my life that I asked the driver to let me out. Driving way too fast and acting erratic, non-English speaking. I will never take this car service again, also the last time I had a car the driver was on his phone, kept looking down at the gps on his lap…absolutely horrible. There are serious safety issues with your drivers.

I’ve used eastern for several years and they are very hit or miss. Half the time they are great, but half the time the drivers say they can’t take credit card and ask if they can stop at a bank (I don’t have time to stop at a bank while I’m driving to the airport). Then you have to call the office and give them all your card info. We’ve also had times where the driver arrives 30 minutes before our pickup time, then tries to charge us an extra wait fee when we come at the pickup time we requested, so we have to argue with them. They tend to be cheaper than Uber though so that’s why I keep using them.

My experience with Eastern Car Service has been fantastic. I called them once for friends traveling with their infant because it’s hard to find a reliable care service that offers car seats. Their experience was so good that I booked Eastern again for myself and my daughter. Communication was excellent, the driver was on time and friendly and a good driver. The car and car seat were clean and the price was fair. Highly recommend. Found them through the Mommy Poppins blog and so glad that I did.
