I am disappointed to have to write this review as I had a great experience with Ease for the majority of the time I rented a property managed by them. Ultimately, their disorganization and lack of clear communication regarding move-out procedures and charges has overshadowed the better experiences I had. Their leasing and move-out transition team are incapable of effective communication and deeply disorganized .

I ended my lease in November, received my security deposit back in full in December, and now in January I am being contacted about a new charge. Despite providing written communication showing my exchanges with their own team back in November saying that I was not responsible for any charges and that everything was taken care of, they continue to harass me for payment while ignoring my requests for an explanation.

That said, the service team was great and super helpful.

EASE has been managing my property in DC for a few years now and I have been able to live across the country and have to worry about a single thing. My unit is in an older but renovated building in DC so of course it comes with challenges and they EASE is always able to handle anything that they are responsible for. As far as sourcing tenets they find for the unit I have zero issues. They run a thorough background check on any potential renters and always runs it by us. This for me is so important because as the owner I know my unit will be in good hands.

I've lived in an EASE apartment for two years now and want to recommend EASE for other potential tenants. The team at EASE went above and beyond to update my unit. They were professional, kind and prompt. Even though they are managing this apartment building on behalf of another owner, they steward the building like it's their own. I've worked with Pierce, Leah, Emilio and Darvel and found each one to be professional, super responsive and kind.

Horrible living experience with EASE property management in DC. Building gas went out at least once a month, resulting in cold water and no where to cook. Management team was extremely rude and unhelpful for the short 6 months I lived there. Would absolutely not recommend.

After one experience with Ease, I was very disappointed. They scheduled multiple people to tour a codo and the building at the same time, without notifying anyone. Twice the agent was asked a question and didn't know the answer. Instead of looking up the answer or letting the interested party know she'd follow up, the agent guessed. For the first time, I left a showing early despite being very interested in the unit and liking what I saw.

EASE rented and manages my rowhome in DC and has done a great job. I primarily work with Pierce Hymson but the entire team has been quick to reply and definitely knows their stuff. It’s been a very hands-off experience which is what I was looking for in a property management company.

While EASE has a nice inventory of rental properties, they make it very hard to lease from them. After booking a tour a few days in advance, I noticed the unit I was interested in was no longer available on their site. I tried to email and call the company to confirm availability, but got an endless circle of automated responses. As I got a confirmation email, I went ahead with the tour and the agent promised it was available and encouraged me to apply via the website.

Less than half an hour after the tour, I still could not find the listing online. I tried to call the the number on her "personal" business card she gave me, but it all went to the same automated mailbox I previously got. The day after the tour, I'm still getting automated emails encouraging me to apply for a non-existant listing.

Their communication is entirely impersonal and overall very frustrating.
