Strange, I guess Dr. Ly doesn't care? It's really strange because Dr. Ly seemed very personable and good humored. Actually, I'm bothered to have to write this review.

Problem is, I'm not working at the moment and I'm under my wife's work medical plan. Thus my wife is paying my medical for the time being. Hey, for better or for worse, In sickness and in health , and I'm grateful to have her support.

But it's a bit embarrassing to admit I can't even handle my copay right now, so when they asked me for it today, I asked if they could bill me for it because I've had other doctors under my medical insurance bill me for co-pays prior. God knows they're going to send me a bill for something extra not covered by insurance anyway.

They said they normally don't do that but they would make an exception and do that for today. After my visit with Dr. Ly, I received two missed phone calls from Dr. Lee's office. There was a general message to call the office back and it sounded like it was urgent.

Upon calling the office back, they again explained to me that as a courtesy they were billing me for my co-pay today, however, it wouldn't be able to be billed in the future.

I explained my current financial situation , and that currently my wife was paying for my medical as well as my co-pays, thus, I asked how how else we could resolve the issue. I suggested that if I brought my wife's credit card in to make the payment , wouldn't that be illegal without her there?

She stated my wife can make a payment over the phone by calling the office. I explained that would be next to impossible because she's extremely busy at work, and most of the time, so busy, that I never even hear from her while she's at work.

I asked if there was any other resolution. She said no. I said I guess I have no other choice than to change doctors then. The lady at the front desk said okay, and the call ended.

Several moments later I got another call back from the office again. It was Dr. Ly's front desk again, asking me if I wanted to cancel my follow-up appointment. And here I thought she was calling back to try and save me as a new patient.

I asked, almost as an afterthought, if I could speak to Dr. Lee have her call me back. When I said this, she asked me what it was regarding. I said it was regarding me no longer being a patient with her, and she informed me that Dr. Ly was already aware of this and there was nothing further to discuss regarding her stance. I couldn't believe it, and the call ended.

I must be older than I thought, because I thought I could read people well, and had a good deal of respect for Dr. Ly and her office at the start. I can't say I feel the same still.

I guess it's more important lose a patient over a $25 co-pay upfront than keep the patient that would've ended up paying it when billed anyway?
