I enjoyed shipping my goods with Canada Cargo. I was worried because it was my first time using them. I think, overall, it was great. I got my shipment within 7 business days. I called customer care in Nigeria and Canada to confirm the items allowed and not allowed and how to package everything. They were very helpful and receptive. My goods came intact and complete, and I think it was a really great experience.

Customers priority Zero. My shipment took long weeks after telling me 7 workings days to arrive Nigeria. No tracking number nor updates . You have to called and wait for them to confirm your shipment.behold, when the shipment arrived Nigeria , no call or text to the receiver (I dropped 2 lines) to inform for pick up after three days of landing. So Discouraging sending valuable items.

I wish I had checked their reviews on Google before using them. Just disappointed! They shipped my item through Canada Post, knowing Canada Post will be going on strike the next day. I called to inform them but they insisted and assured it would be delivered. In the end, this guy is asking me to wait until the strike is over. These are perishables.

Customer service is Zero….. All my food items were eaten up by rat with a lot of rat poops. I called severally before I could get partial refund of my logistics fee but I never got refund of my food items…. Rat poops in the cartoon…. No remorse whatsoever, not even trying to win me over. My clearance fee is still with you guys, my foodstuff damaged…. It’s not about coming here to say canadacargo, it’s about what’s happening in the backend. If it takes me to come out here in the open, it says a lot about how I was treated behind closed doors. Leaving me to bear the coat of damaged food items and coat of clearance. Too bad. I have pictures to proof further….. if you have handles the issue well, I wouldn’t be here in the open…….. You all might have had good experience with them but I didn’t and I wasn’t treated right… it could be anyone tomorrow.

Saying God will be the judge as a business person in the face of the digital world, shows lack of professionalism, you take responsibility and not beat around the bush, if you say I am the only person, that means you are happy that I didn’t get to eat the food I bought from Nigeria to Canada….. 21.47 clearance fee is gone, how about the foodstuff I bought Of over 100k, gone too.. you are happy that you refunded part of logistics, I should be happy….. it should be about customer satisfaction not explanation….

I assigned a 1-star rating based on customer service.
Initially, I was informed that my package from Nigeria to Canada would arrive within 7-10 days, but it took 5 weeks. While I recognize delays can happen, I'm disappointed that there was no proactive communication about the delays, especially considering the absence of tracking information.

Communication only occurred after my outreach and was not prompt. A lack of customer service ethics was evident as updates regarding the delays were not sent via emails or text messages. Assurances for delivery dates in subsequent weeks were given, but the package never arrived as stipulated, and I wasn't informed about the non-delivery.

The claim of an airline issue seems misleading since the items were shipped by sea after payment for air cargo. Despite a 4-hour drive to meet the owner, who was recommended by a friend, customer service deteriorated. Attempts to contact the owner via various channels were unsuccessful, and he did not respond to messages, demonstrating a lack of responsiveness.

When my package finally arrived, custom clearing and Canada Post shipping fees amounting to $41.75 were charged, but my request for a receipt was ignored. The owner showed no remorse for the disappointment caused. This experience, coupled with the lack of a risk management plan, reflects zero customer service and a sole focus on monetary transactions.

In light of this, I do not recommend this business.

Delay and dissatisfaction should be one of the core values for this company. I arrived in Canada in December 2023 as a student. Due to the uncertainty of accommodation and the challenges ahead, I did not come with all my belongings as this was to be shipped via Canada Cargo when I arrived. I must be very frank here that as at this date 27th of May being my sixth month in Canda, I am yet to receive my package that was sent via Canada Cargo. What is in the package one may wonder? Some clothes and shoes that couldn't make the luggage weight at the airport. I have been forced to buy clothes here in Canada bcos the company initially misplaced the package given to them to deliver. This took about 3 months for them to find it. I had even given up on the items but my wife continued pestering them to look for it or she would have to escalate the issue. Long story short, the package was in Canada and nobody reached out to me that I had a delivery from Lagos. I finally reached out to the office here in Canada and the person I spoke to was quick to ask for the payment for customs and clearing to be paid here in Canada. The payment was done on the 11th of May 2024 which was the day I contacted them but what? Today being the 27th of May the package has still not reached me. Distasteful service and never get worse than this. I regret not paying for extra luggage at the airport. Time is money does not translate in the dictionary of this company.

My experience with the company was terrible!
From unjustifiable delayed arrival of items( over 24 days ) to no communication on arrival of the goods( i practically had to be calling the company myself every now and then), to poor communication on applicable charges, to insensitivity to customers' complains and justification to inaccurate weighing of goods to their own advantage and lots more! The company is only concerned with your money and not whether you have a memorable service experience or not!
Please inquire well before you choose to use any shipping company 🙏 and don't be a victim like I! I wish I could upload what I found when I opened one of the boxes, a whole bottle of palm oil has spilled over all other sensitive items packed together. Money wasted.The CEO whom I met in person ay the office found the word 'sorry' difficult to alter despite all the mess!.

Learn to take customers' complaint as feedback and an avenue to improve your business. You need not justify your lapses which is glaring and for which I have documented evidences. Let memorable customer experience be the goal behind your business profitability.
Learn to apologize when you are wrong and don't be defensive. We are in a land that has laws and order and which works with facts and documented evidences.
I hope to see you do better in providing value for your customers and be ready to accept and see constructive criticism as a way to improve business efficiency.
