How is it that I can't rent a truck from El Paso tx to Chapperal N.M I don't get it

Got there about 10mins after 9am schueduled pick up time on a Sunday. Waited for almost 10 minutes for someone to assist me.

Turns out I was the only one in the office as the employee (I believe the only employee working that morning) was handling business elsewhere and saw me as I stood outside the door.

No issue with that as he was not just sitting on his behind not doing his job. He checked me out rather quickly. We inspected the truck together (the original size I requested, 12', was not available so I was given 16').

*be sure to take note and or pics of any imperfections + damages so you're not charged for it and be sure the employee marks the damage location on the paper as well**

No issues returning the truck. There is a 150.00 deposit for the truck that is returned. For me, it took 2 days to get it back. Not sure why I had to wait as I forgot the reason why. But there was no trouble returning nor picking it up. I would recommend this location for U-haul rentals.

Doing business was smooth. The crew was fast, efficient, accomodating, courteous and professional. Storage unit was super clean and safe. They have nice bathrooms in the office and magazines in the lobby. The only two things I'd knock half a star for would be the truck deposit cost ($150) and their open hours. You have to work their schedule when renting and/or returning a vehicle or else you may be charged for the next day when they reopen. Other than that it's all good.

I really cannot stand a business that won't pick up their phone during working hours. Called 19 times in a row at 4pm when they say they close at 430pm trying to get somebody to answer a simple question about dropping off a truck to coordinate plans for somebody current driving across the country in a Budget truck and they would NOT pick up the phone. Won't be renting from/recommending them or Budget again.

No one is answering and time is running out. This is bad customer service. I have been calling for over an hour trying to get ahold of them while I have to drive across country. It is too late, but will never do business with budget again.
To top it off, they are not at the office for at least 3 hours!!!!!?

I AM SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW. CALLED ROAD SERVICE TWICE AND RESERVATIONS ONCE . ONLY ANSWER WAS RESERVATIONS. GAVE TWO CALL BACK NUMBERS AND OUR NAMES.
I HAVE TWO VIDEOS OF HOW HORRIBLE TRUCK. ILLEGAL TRUCK THEY RENTED US FROM ELPASO ON MONTANA STREET. CAUGHT IN FLASH FLOODS ON 54 GOING TO KANSAS 200 MILES INTO DRIVE.
THE WHOLE INSIDE THE CAB STARTED FLOODING WITH SHEETS OF WATER FROM ROOF AND DOORS..ALMOST GOT US KILLED. AS 54 IS A TWO LANE HIGHWAY WITH NO PLACE TO PULL OFF OR EVEN REST AREAS. WE ARE TRUCKERS.25 YEARS ON ROAD NEVER EVER HAD ANYTHING THIS SCARY HAPPEN TO US..
217 AM AND NO ONE EVER CALLED US BACK. LEFT US IN DANGER... THE DOORS AND CEILING HELD TOGETHER with Window house cauking.. THESE PEOPLE DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS.
FIRST THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE VAN THEY SAID THEY WERE HOLDING FOR US.. INSISTED WE TAKE THIS 16 FOOT AT SAME PRICE..
THE TRUCK HAS NOT HAD A TUNE UP IN GOD KNOWS HOW LONG THE OIL IS BLACK . 350 MILES HAS COST 125$ IN GAS..we use rents a lot. Never ever do they use that much gas. Air turns off automatically if your sitting still.
As we have dogs so one of us stays in can while one goes in store for deinks. Even withthe key in and running..the air turns off if you are in park. So me and the dogs sitting in dangerous temps waiting for my husband and in store..
They have offered nothing. No compensation nothing..NOT EVEN A RETURN CALL. I don't get contacted tomorrow. I will personally pay for this truck to be inspected by Highway dept before returning and will be contacting authorities

I used this company to move my family from rhode island to texas. I really didnt have any complaints about the company besides them issuing me a truck with a large 14- 16 inch crack in the windshield.
