Used to be helpful before it was RCS. The woman who answered the call was so quiet, I was not sure it was real. When I started to talk she hung up. I thought I called the wrong number. Redialed only to hear another inaudible sort of murmer. I asked if I was calling the crisis line, if it was local, etc.... I didn't get a real answer but an annoyed woman telling me yes, that I woke her up, and asking what she wanted me to do.
"Do I need to send an ambulance or can you just get to an ER. You're seriously annoying me, I'm working remotely and trying to sleep."
Whomever is working right now 5/13/22 is absolutely awful. I would rather kill myself than speak to this underqualified, uninterested and lazy woman. In 2017, it was not RCS, they identified themselves and never said they'd only help if you needed an ambulance. They invited me to talk in person. Listened. Validated my feelings and made me feel like I was not alone, giving me strength to carry on. When I did need hospitalization, they didn't make me feel trapped. If they did, i definitely would've killed myself....

I have very much respect for this program and the difficult work they do. I've worked with them on a professional level and also in helping a teen in crisis. We are very blessed to have them helping our community.
