As a family, we were super comfortable and had everything we needed for our trip in the van. Scenic was super friendly and professional! I compared them to a lot of other van rental options and they came out on top in every area I researched. We highly recommend them! This company is amazing!!! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. It's awesome because you literally only have to bring clothes and food! They provide everything else, including linens. The van got really good mileage. The fridge and freezer worked great! There are solar panels, on demand water heater, a.c. and so much more. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were too big for our taste but. The shower was nice and worked well. We were able to install our own bike rack. The van was easy to drive. We got the 23-foot Cascade, and it was the perfect size for us. We will definitely rent again!!

Don't hesitate to buy a van with Scenic Vans - they are AWESOME! We rented a van at Scenic Vans and loved the experience so much we took the plunge and had them build out a van for us right away. Working with Kevin and Emily was such an amazing experience - they assisted us in so many ways with great advice on how to meet all our needs based on the van experience we were looking for. They used all high quality materials and the crews were extremely experienced and built the van with such great care. We have had it over half a year now and went on 8 trips already - Arizona, Oregon, CA coast, etc... The van is awesome - we only had a couple super minor things that needed fixing after our first couple trips and Scenic Vans fixed everything right away, no issues at all. Super helpful and easy to work with. HIGHLY recommend to rent from them, see how great they are, and if you take the plunge on buying a van, do it with Scenic Vans!

We highly recommend Scenic Vans. Our family of four, with my 6'3" son and 6'1" daughter, rented The Maui van for a week over Thanksgiving 2023 and had an incredible adventure. Michael, from Scenic Vans, provided us with a sleeping pad for my son to sleep on the floor, while my daughter took the top bunk and my wife and I used the queen bed. We all slept comfortably and had ample space to move around in the van.

Our journey took us to breathtaking destinations, including Yosemite National Park, Crater Lake National Park, and the scenic Oregon coast. The freedom of pulling over and camping on the beach whenever we desired was truly exhilarating. One of the highlights was spending a night at the DeMartin Beach picnic area, where we relaxed, savored delicious meals, and explored the fascinating tide pools. After our beach adventure, we headed to the majestic mountains around Forks of the Salmon for a few days of exploration before returning to Sacramento.

The van performed exceptionally well, providing a smooth and comfortable driving experience. We opted for the extra roadside insurance, which proved to be a wise decision when I accidentally left the lights on overnight after installing the blinds for the evening in southern Oregon. The prompt response of the roadside assistance service, arriving in less than an hour, ensured a seamless continuation of our journey. The diesel heater was great and very economical. It kept us warm even when there was ice behind the window coverings! We had to drive 2 hours out of our way in northern california to buy the correct diesel, it requires less than 5 percent biodiesel. The van handled well in the snow. We never had to plug the van in and never ran out of power.

Van Life Advice: Restrict your luggage. You don’t want a bunch of suitcases in the van. Only take what you need. My wife is an overpacker and we had to jettison some suitcases with family in Scaramento. The van has plenty of space to stow small suitcases. Take tons of pictures of the van before and after, so you know what state it is in. When we turned it in, our van did not get inspected for almost a week since it was over a holiday that I turned it in. I did not notice any chips in the windshield and couldn’t see it in my pictures that I took when we turned it in. Scenic Vans said that they found a chip in the windshield, and ended up repairing it at their cost because it had been so long. The inspection was a week later so I could not say if we had done it or if it wasor it was the yard guy kicking up a rock. They took care of it though. This van takes special diesel that is not available everywhere.

Overall, our family vacation in the Maui van was an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Scenic Vans for their excellent customer service, well-maintained vehicles, and commitment to making our adventure truly special.

Together with my wife we spent a New Year's Eve traveling from northern central California to the dunes of Pismo Beach in the Shasta van, we had an excellent experience; We recommend it to everyone who wants to live a new experience in the way of traveling. I am not a camper and while we planned a trip to Death Valley to camp I wasn’t sure how I was going to pull it off. Scenic Vanlife Rentals came to my rescue. I looked up camper-van rentals and found this local company. I dropped by to see what they had to offer. They suggested The Aspen and it was a perfect fit for my daughter and I. Pick up and drop off was easy; they showed me how everything worked and I was on my way! The only hiccup we had was the stove. I couldn’t turn it on the first day but a quick phone call solved the problem. I’ve come to realize it wasn’t a problem at all but user error on my part! I am so happy that they answered my call and walked me through it. A huge plus for us is that they offer unlimited miles! Who else does that? I would definitely recommend this company for your camper-van needs! I know we will be using them again!

Our dream come true- we got ourselves a van! But we couldn’t have turned it into our true vision without everyone at Scenic Vans. It’s overwhelming to choose a company to build out your van, but working with scenic vans was so easy from beginning to end.
We heard of scenic vans through a friend, then did our research, and ended up scheduling an appointment to meet with Kevin (owner). He sat with us for a couple hours, walking us through his workshop, going through options, showing us current build outs- you name it, he took the time to do it! We knew our van would be in good hands, and we couldn’t be happier we decided to trust them with our build!
Kevin and his team have designed everything from templated models to completely custom configurations and everything in between. All cabinets are custom made, everything is painted in house- no corner cutting!!
After a couple meetings and lots of help from all of the wonderful staff, we ended up somewhere in between, going with the Shasta Model with a couple of tweaks to fit our wants- and sure enough we ended up with OUR dream van!! We were updated throughout the whole process with photos and videos. Everyone was friendly, skilled, efficient and communicative the whole time.
I love that they make videos of their van making process, each van with a dedicated team (shoutout Hayden, Brandon and the whole Paddy Wagon team!!) and each van with a given name decided by that crew! The video clearly shows how skilled everyone is, but also how much they love their jobs. The “Paddy Wagon” is our dream brought to life by Scenic Vans, and we’d choose them over and over again!!
