The worst company ever! First, they charge $300 just for an estimate. Second, they charged the $300 fee, but didn’t send the estimate. They charged my card, came for the “inspection”, and then days later said we have to sign a service contract in order to get the estimate that we already paid for. I told them right away to just give a refund when they insisted on the contract that I had never seen before paying. They said ok and didn’t send it. I followed up and they said they’d send the estimate. Again, nothing! Weeks later I follow up and they say they won’t give a refund or the estimate. Not only they’ve wasted a month of our time, they won’t even give our money back. That’s the absolute minimum. If you can’t agree on terms, there’s no deal. You don’t get to insist on terms after the fact. And still charge and not give service. There is no meeting of minds. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! It’ll be a waste of time, money and energy to even call them.

Revision: they’re reply makes it sound like we didn’t contact them directly or that they’d be willing to resolve it. Don’t fall for it.

ServPro may be ok if you only need a company to mitigate your water damage. However, I would not recommend hiring them for anything beyond that. My insurance company referred me to ServPro after my toilet tank flooded my condo. They were very professional and efficient with the initial mitigation, so I decided to hire them to complete the demolition and rebuilding of my condo. Big mistake. If I took the time to list all of my frustrations and the things they did wrong, this review would be so long no one would ever read it, so I'll stick to the highlights. The biggest issue was a total lack of communication. This was a major issue not only between ServPro and myself, but also between the departments/workers within this office. I needed to call 4-10+ times about every issue before I would get a response. No one was ever able give me an approximate time frame of how long it would take to make the repairs, despite me asking multiple times. This resulted in me needing to move between hotels/AirBnbs multiple times because I never knew how much longer I would be out of my home (it ended up being three months).

Twice they did something I specifically told them NOT to do. Most notably the day before they were going to install my new flooring, they contacted me saying that the original estimate was incorrect, it was for rubber subflooring and my building requires cork subflooring. The cork subflooring would be an additional $10,000. I asked if they would please submit this new estimate to my insurance company and wait for it to be approved before installing the flooring. When I went to my condo the next day the flooring was installed! Obviously, my insurance had not had time to approve this increased cost (luckily the did eventually). They also painted my bedroom the wrong color after I specifically told them not to paint that room. Notably, there was no damage to the drywall in this room, so I don't know why they were painting it to begin with. The painting job was not what I expected from professional painters. The lines are not clean and there are multiple places where the wall paint has leaked onto the baseboards.

The peak of ServPro's incompetence was how they cared for my belongings while they completed their work. They took a full week to pack up and move my belongings into storage. For reference, when I moved in, it took about 8 hours to move all of my belongings out of my old apartment and into my two bedroom condo. When they moved everything back , I discovered that they broke my dining room table, broke 2 marble side tables, broke all of my lamps, broke my platform bed frame, lost the hardware to the curtain rods, lost the hardware to secure the mirror to my dresser, and lost an entire rug and rug pad. They threw all of my curtains in a pile on the dirty floor while they completed all of the construction. The real kicker was when they sent me the bill for this very inefficient "pack out/pack in" which came to $20,150!

I am giving two stars because my new floors look great and the manager, Jaime, worked with me to compensate for the damaged items.

We had an emergency situation requiring an immediate response. Fortunately for us, the exceptional team of Darrell and Kyle showed up even faster than we could have dreamed of. They not only got out here on such short notice, but they did a great job, were courteous, professional, highly efficient and extremely knowledgeable.
Very impressive! Neat and concise workmanship. Thank you gentlemen, for all you did for us. We greatly appreciate it!
