I continuously get calls regarding a person I have not spoken to or seen in 30 years. They have called me at least 10 times. I have at least two conversations in which, I too recorded, clearly asking not to be called again while citing law.
At this point I am going to file a formal complaint.

Update: Received yet another call today. I reiterated that I needed written verification as I told the last lady. The woman who called me said I was who she talked to on the 27th. I tried to tell her she in fact was not who I talked to and she got crappy and was insistant that she is who I talked to. Checked call records and I did not speak to anyone on the 27th, just had a missed call on that date. Either theyre talking to someone who isnt me or something isn't making sense. I have been waiting for written verification since Feb 15 when I last talked to them and it has not come yet. Very frustrating when I am trying to get this taken care of and keep getting met with rudeness and the run around.

Received a call from Allied, when I answered they hung up so I called back. The lady I spoke with was incredibly rude from the beginning. Lots of huffing and used a tone that was unnecessary. Turns out they did not have my current address and when I told the representative I needed documentation verifying the debt before I sent payment she again got huffy. I provided my current address and then made a snarky comment about "hard to keep track of addresses" and then just hung up. No goodybye, have a nice day, nothing. Not sure when customer service and general politeness went out the window but it was uncalled for.

I just want to say I have read through all the reviews and I am shocked at how ignorant people are. I have worked with Allied in Columbus for years over money I owed. All of the staff is helpful and non barbaric like most places like this seem to be. The adverse comments blow my mind. The manager / owner has said several times to make sure you have the correct business. Can it really be that difficult? The worst thing I have ever experienced with this company is one time in 10 years they did not return a phone call. Make sure before you rant about something and give someone a bad review you are doing the right thing. Pay your bills and it wouldn't be a problem you need to deal with. We all have financial problems from time to time but you cannot take it out on people doing their job too.

So...update. Three weeks ago I gave this company a one-star review. The reason I gave them this review is that I had already paid this debt, and they were charging me twice. When I told the woman on the phone, she said they would only take care of it if I had a receipt. No concern at all.

So...today...guess what comes in the mail? A BILL FROM THEM WANTING ME TO PAY IT A THIRD TIME! And, just for clarity, this letter was dated ONE WEEK ago. Thanks for proving my point about why I don't like your company.

Edit again. It has been app. 3 months and now I am getting yet ANOTHER letter saying I owe them money. Amanda was nice enough but did the same thing their employees are trained to do. She took no responsibility for the problem, and basically said "prove it, or I'm not doing anything". I am tired of their harassment, and I have to wonder if this isn't their way of retaliating against me for the negative reviews I have left.

tl;dr — sketchy? poor customer service

Got a call from this number asking for me. I asked who was calling, and the woman over the phone told me she couldn’t tell me unless I gave her information about myself. I asked her what company she was calling from. Again, she told me she couldn’t tell me unless I gave her information about myself. I let her know, “Unless you can tell me who you are or what company you are calling from, I cannot give you any information.” She told me to have a nice day and hung up.

When I Googled the phone number I was called from, this is the business that popped up. Had never heard of them before. Seemed super sketchy and I ended up blocking the number afterward.

I’ve never heard of a company or business calling someone & refusing to disclose the name of the company or business.

Edit: I did unblock their number & call back later. I let two different people know of my experience. 🤷‍♀️ I’m not going to give information about myself (name, DOB, address, etc.) unless I know exactly who I’m speaking to & what it’s for. I don’t think that’s unusual?

I know nothing of this company or why they would be trying to reach me. However...I do get a call from them once in a while why I am driving to work in the morning. They have never left any voicemails. I only know who is calling by Googling their phone number. As far as I know I have no unknown or unhandled delinquent debt. I can only assume that they won't leave voicemails, because 1. Wrong number or 2. Not legit.

Got a call at 4:55 pm to collect a debt. The office closes at 5pm. I confirmed my name and asked what the debt was for and from whom may be asking for such debt.. The wonderful crook on the other line continued to say she won't divulge that information until I gave my birthdate.

Well then don't call me..

I have gotten one invoice before they lost everyone's information due to a cyber attack. They have had no internet or online services for 2 months now. You can't send someone to collections like this after one invoice.

I will be pursuing legal actions as soon as possible.
