Firstly, Enterprise's “Complete Clean Pledge” states on its website “, Today and every day, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in the industry”. Well, I most of caught the cleaning team on a bad day because the van I collected was the builder's van (Images attached).
Secondly, I hadn’t even left the Enterprise car park, and the van had an engine management light on. Due to booking for 24 hours use and having a 250+ mile round trip planned, I went in and reported it to staff to get the following responses,
- It brings the engine management light on when due for a service, although not to worry, it was serviced yesterday at tyre spot, they’ve just forgotten to turn the light off.

- Do you want to drive it for a mile and see if it's driving ok? If you're not happy, we can try to get a replacement, but don’t know how long you’d have to wait.

- Don’t worry, you’ve got breakdown cover.

- You don’t have to take the van, but you're going to struggle to get a replacement, and if we did find you one, you’d have to drive to their depot to collect.

Images attached proving staff were clearly lying regarding the van being serviced due to the van stating its “Engine oil level low”. They’d have known that if they had come out of the office and checked the van after I told them the light had come. Their final statement sealed the high-quality customer service provided by Enterprise staff “I have made a note on the system about the engine management light, any issues ring breakdown cover”.
Maybe I expected too much of a high standard from one of the most well-known car/van hire companies in the UK.

Fabulous fabulous service! Ive rented from many places and even worked in van and car hire place and I can’t recommend this place more. The staff go above and beyond. Made everything so easy -Naj was so professional welcoming proactive and efficient top notch and Jack was also really great professional polite and friendly both when I checked out and checked in the vehicle . Thank you so much for making my life so easy !!

Rented a small car to go 1 way to Grimsby to pick up a new van on January 31st 2024
There was damage to the front bumper plastic which we pointed out before we left the compound .
We were told that it was noted and it was nothing because damage to plastic didn't constitute a fault.
Got to Grimsby to be told they were keeping the £200 excess because of the bumper damage.!
After a long wait while they got in touch with Scotswood branch we were told everything was sorted.
Received a phone call front Scotswood to say the £200 was being returned to us , which it was.
Forward to June 12th 2024 got an email off enterprise to say we owed nothing for the damage claim (Which we knew nothing about)Zero.!
The very same day they took £528.59 .from our bank account !
After speaking to our bank we were told to go to sort it direct with enterprise, which we did went down to be told yes it's a mistake ! But no explanation why .! We had to wait 4 days for enterprise to return the money for their mistake.
We would never rent from this company again .
No explanation and no apology.!

I hired a car for the weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful. The car was spotless and felt like new to drive! I'm definitely going to use them again in the future! Would highly recommend!

Really helpful team in this branch, looked after us with the van rental explained all about the vehicle and the tail lift. There was no assumption that I’d ever driven such a large vehicle either so tips on controlling it also given. Only slight issue was no sticker anywhere inside the vehicle saying how tall it was for low bridges but that didn’t prove to be an issue anyway.

Booking was easy, but vehicle arrived over an hour late, making me late for work. The staff didn’t seem bothered or eager to assist in any way. Would not recommend if you value customer service and your time.
