I submitted a request at the beginning of September, which is a transfer voucher. I was told to upload it directly to the website, and I did, but I haven’t received any updates on whether it is being processed or not. I am paying half of the cost of my daughter's daycare, even though she has been approved for the program. I’ve gone to the office seeking some clarification, but the two people sitting at the front desk didn’t even check the system for my request. They just tell me to wait another month. And when I try to reach them with more questions, they’ve just ignored me. On top of that, I always call and wait for over an hour, and no one answers.
They should have trained staff for this job and enough patience to help.

My grandson was given a voucher since July 2024, however like everything else… there’s a process. Once everything was processed he was allowed to attend after school care, FOR ONLY 1 day ( 3hrs). My daughter made the payment and in LESS than 24 hrs, she received an email, that advised my grandson is no longer on the program( Without ANY EXPLANATION may I add) My daughter has diligently called several times, and left countless messages, along with emails, and there hasn’t been any response. Understanding that they’re many cases, but there should be at least a professional response. At this time… with the poor xerox copy she’s received, (VIA EMAIL) and no further information regarding as TO WHY! my grandson can’t no longer attend after school care, I will then contact local senators and higher ups, to DEMAND answers. At this time, She/ We need to verify; what was the cause with this heinous effect, on my grandsons matter. In final, trying to get through, to speak with an agent it’s beyond terrible! Do BETTER!

As a Childcare provider, having to deal with ACS is very stressful.Everything is a slow tedious process. The enrollment department never answers your calls. I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone waiting to speak to someone ( one week of calls).I had to eventually give up. Walking in to 66 john st is of no use, they will tell you to call. Email gets no response only automated responses.
This is week # 7 and I am still waiting to be issued with a provider ID.

Very unsatisfied with customer service. You wait hours to speak to someone who gives you little to no information on your case and where it stands. (Talking about the vouchers for daycare). It’s been well over 6 weeks and my child is still not enrolled with her school. At this point, I never got to use the assistance I was offered for the past 6 months.

I am childcare provider with ACS. I have children who have not been placed on my roster for months. I came down to see what the issue was and was told to be patient about getting my back pay (but the workers here make sure they get their paychecks on time) they expect daycare owners to provide quality care but they also forget that we can not sustain a quality program when we have to wait 3-4 months to get paid. How are we suppose to feed the children? Buy necessary supplies? KEEP STAFF? Or in general keep the business open with a lack of funding?! I’m not sure what the process is for uploading a child into the system or why ACS is so behind. Does it really take 3-4 months just to add a child’s name and case number into a computer The workers are obviously miserable and can careless. ACS claim they are there to support the child and their best interest but I call BS. But this problem is not only an issue for providers but for parents as well. When providers are not being paid we are forced to let go of children and staff. Parents are then out of childcare and can potentially lose their jobs. CHILDCARE IS ESSENTIAL FOR FAMILIES TOO, TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR CHILDREN ALSO! Pay providers ON TIME SO WE CAN SERVE THE COMMUNITIES WE LIVE IN!!!!! DO BETTER ACS/HRA

I tried calling Acs childcare to just asked a question to see why my 8 months old daughter is not listed on the Daycare attandant list like the rest of the children going there. I call 4 times while working waited 2 hour to 3 hours each to be hang up on. Now, I have to take day off from work to speak to some one. I baby been approved since July 15 she was 5 months old 2024.It's now October still no payment and my baby is not even on the Daycare list saying she even goes there. If Acs send me a letter email saying your child been approved why she not even the Daycare list with the rest of the children I did everything I was supposed to do. I up loaded the voucher to the email I was given on July 26.1st time using the city for help with childcare since everything is going up besides the paycheck. I have to asked for help and Daycare is $250 a week and pay rent food etc... it's very hard. If I wasn't paying out my pocket I probably would have lost my job waiting for the Acs to send the Daycare payments and still waiting.😮‍💨 I guess those payments not coming until December, fingers cross.

The woman security guard continually gives me a hard time because of my expired ID. The first time she tried to stop me from speaking with workers about my case, when I had all my other identifying documents with me.. I've had to go in 4 or 5 times since and she rolls her eyes and never gives me the little form where I explain the reason for my visit. It's ridiculous.

It’s very nice, clean and inviting for being a City Public Agency. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wait time was very short which I was surprised. The only downside is that they DON'T offer WIFI to the public. I thought wifi was available in every Public City Agency. I guess not. Come on Mayor, Let's get it together! For many parents wifi is important especially when you have young children who company their parents. Many parents like myself use tablets to entertain smaller children while patiently waiting in the waiting room.
