Grande déception. J'ai tout réservé en ligne et on essaye de nous facturer l'assurance déjà comprise à l'arrivée (sympa après 10h d'avion). Il a fallu insister pendant 20 minutes pour la convaincre. A la remise des clefs, la facture n'est pas la bonne et je lui montre le devis de départ, elle rectifie. Au final, un accroc de 3mm leur rapportera 50 euros, elle aura réussi à nous faire payer plus, j'espère recevoir la facture de réparation de leur garage...bon courage aux suivants. Vérifiez tout, insistez, demandez des copies systématiquement, faites des photos de la voiture en détail, ils abusent en vous montrant même des documents "officiels" qui ne s'appliquent pas à votre cas.

Overall excellent and expedient desk service upon arrival and return from Antony, Omar, and Israel. Very helpful and straightforward. Yes, there is a mandatory liability insurance requirement, yet I was able to apply my Visa card collision insurance that is accepted. I brought a letter of coverage as proof. Car was new condition and they helped me activate CarPlay onto the car dash screen, worked great wireless navigation entire trip! Use WAZE app for best city/Hwy navigation gives road alerts plus you add your own alerts for other drivers. Their cars are equipped with a toll reader so just drive thru no money needed! It’ll be deducted from the original card deposit ($700), then total charges determined at car return desk. easy. I opted to fill gas tank up in city and the half hour drive to the AP it stays full. Car return is same terminal 1. Fast checkout after car revision, and they have a shuttle, or will take you to terminal 2 if flying international. I’ll definitely book again with Budget rental car. I don’t usually leave reviews, and after reading some of the other customer reviews, I was hesitant to rent a car. However, I went ahead with it, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. From the shuttle transfer between Terminals 1 and 2 to the return of the car, everyone I interacted with was professional, polite, and helpful.

A few things to keep in mind: Insurance is mandatory, and they do place a hold on your credit card, but this amount is released once you return the car in good condition. Make sure to take pictures of the vehicle during pickup and confirm that the inspector documents any existing damage. The inspector was very thorough and even encouraged me to double-check everything to ensure nothing was missed.

Also, I recommend booking directly through the company’s website instead of third-party platforms, and consider purchasing insurance at the counter. The staff can explain the coverage options in more detail, ensuring you have a clear understanding.

Renting from Budget was easy and if you know what you’re doing can be a smooth process. Don’t add any insurance during your booking. You will have to add at airport and expect that to be another $20 per day added. This is mandatory in Panama. When you fly into Terminal 2 know that you have to take shuttle to terminal 1 to get car. Budget and others offer shuttle. Be sure to check and point out everything you see so it’s noted. Everything! If your rental is dirty be sure to have it washed in city for $10 to $25 at local car washes. This way they don’t charge you for extra cleaning fee that is much more(we drove to jungle so was dirtier than normal). Budget made check in process easy. We dropped luggage and family off at departures and drove car back to Terminal 1. Make sure to budget around 15 more mins for this process. 30 mins max. Al and all I would rent from Budget again. We rented a Toyota PRADO and highly recommend

Rented from here for a week while we travelled through Panama. The staff were friendly and the process was quick and easy. No issues with the car. It was basically new, but next time we will opt for something bigger (SUV) as the road conditions are generally not too good.

First, please realize that all car rental agencies in Panama require absurdly expensive insurance. Don't buy a 3rd party coverage like Expedia as it won't be honored. Don't expect your private policy or credit card policy to count for anything either. It's annoying, but the same at all the rental agencies.

Budget personnel at the desk were friendly and quick. Car was inspected thoroughly and was in good working order. No nonsense or unexpected charges on the return. Overall I was pleased with Budget. I really wish someone would shake up the status quo on extra insurance in Central America.

Zunächst muss ich sagen bei den ganzen negativen Bewertungen, was im übrigen auf alle Vermietungen zutrifft, wirklich Angst hatte ein Auto zu Mieten. Aber siehe da, wir haben tatsächlich unser gemietetes Auto bekommen. Der Preis war wie vereinbart. Die Abwicklung ging schnell und in Englisch. Nach einer Kopie des Führerscheins und 1000$ Reservierung auf der Kreditkarte konnten wir unser Auto zügig in Empfang nehmen. Das Protokoll war schon vorausgefüllt und wurde noch mal geprüft. Somit hat alles wirklich gut geklappt.
Ich hatte das Auto im übrigen über die Panamaische Budgethomepage gebucht. Hier war die PDW Versicherung bereits enthalten und konnte lediglich gegen Mehrpreis in eine höherwertige Versicherung ersetzt werden.
