The very 1st time I ever attended St.Elizabeth's Food Pantry, I was in line awaiting my turn, and chatting with several other clients. One young man (either a volunteer or perhaps a minister?) was wearing a very colorful sports shirt, and a man I'd even conversing with spoke out to him, stating how he'd love to have a shirt like that...
The young man turned to him and asked if he thought it would fit him, took it OFF HIS OWN BACK and gave it to the gentleman!!! I was so very moved by the love and generosity, the unconditional FAITH of that wonderful young man!!!
I vowed that one day soon I would have .y own life together enough to share the love...
For now, I must share the living experience!!!

I am very very upset with the new coordinator I had a horrible experience the last two visits ? she is very rude, she looks at people like they are thieves , she makes you feel bad about yourself for grabbing items that are there she takes them away. It they are "good brands" she snatches them away. She dosnt let you take what she likes , she wants to choose what you take. She made herself clear that she was the one in charge and nobody else that Sandra was only for food pantry. She was rude to an elderly lady, and she threatened to shut the place down if people were not cooperating the way she wants. People go there in need, alot of us pay for a ride or bus transportation and for the little bag that rips that we are allowed to have now is upsetting I wish we were treated better. Hopefully they change the coordinator or she will keep her promise and shut this place down and leave people in need without anything.

This is a wonderful food pantry. They are very kind and generous. I have a large family and they always give me extra of things. They are very busy as well so plan to be there at least an hour. It's worth the wait if you are in need of food for your family.

I came to get clothes for work. They didn't have the door to the clothes closet clearly mark also the volunteers inside wasn't well organized. But they did help me and also I got clothes for work and few extras for other stuff. I'd recommend them to others if they need clothes. I haven't used their food service yet but might in future. Happy day to you all

St. Elizabeth is truly a great community outlet for people in need of a variety of services. From clothing to food to the word of GOD, they are there. The homeless, the immigrant, the volunteer, they've always been a beacon of help to the Rockford community. I would encourage and suggest to any in need to utilize them.
