Do not recommend. They refused to let me pack my own items, so I had to pay them extra to pack. They threw things together in large boxes, damaging fragile items. Boxes mislabeled. Furniture damaged. They claim the movers on the receiving end unpacked (they did not). They were happy to take my money with reassurances they would take great care, and once I contacted them about the problems, they did not respond in a timely manner. Still trying to resolve this issue, as they do not follow up. They asked for photos to prove that the movers on the other end did not unpack because "they are getting 2 sides to the story". Why would I contact them about that if there was no problem? I have better things to do with my time than deal with their stonewalling. Very unprofessional company. Do your own packing and hire someone else to ship it.

We found Kona Trans to be prompt, professional and friendly. Cherise, Tina, Wendell, Allen, Michael, Russell, Gray… and I know I’m forgetting a couple of names (sorry!), but they worked as a wonderful, cohesive team. They took great care in packing our household goods, they answer questions and promptly return calls. They took a whole lot of stress out of our move. If you’re moving to or from Kona, call Kona Trans!!!

The people who work there and do the heavy lifting are really nice, but the management is a little dehumanized. don't expect much aloha from the business side of things. (from the point of view of a employee)

Very dissatisfied with Kona Transit wanting to leave my $3000 business order from Costco for me to pick up from Mamalahoa Hwy versus my property that has a perfect huge turn around area to drop it. Paid delivery should be to your door. I’ve found another company that delivers to my door, so that it does not take two hours to unload and pack items from a major busy highway.

Shipped two pallets, from Oahu receiving by Kona trans. Unfortunately I see many not so favorable reviews and some giving them praise for their works. But we must remember nothing is perfect quality of some workers don’t make the company look as they are all that way. So I am no going to rack them over the grill because some viewed them as unprofessional. I have worked with truck industry to before and under stand . Hopefully they’ll continue to strive to be better at their professional service and dealing with customers.

From my first call to their housewares department manager, Clint Roy to the time it was delivered to my son's home in Oregon I was impressed the whole way. Clint took precious time to patiently explain the process step by step and soothe my anxiety in a costly process where I wanted no mishaps. Everything was flawless and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I'm in hell right now! one of the delivery trucks flew a rock and cracked the windshield in my truck! I already knew a company like this wouldn't take responsibility! So I called my wife instead! She decided to call them and sure enough I was right! They only take responsibility if it's a vehicle accident! They said they were 2 other similar calls the week before! Now because of this I can't work my side jobs that pays my mortgage! And windshield quote is over $800.00 because gotta ship from Honolulu and gonna take 2 weeks to get appointment to install! Thank you for this!!
