Moving is tough. It’s literally a lot of moving parts. It requires patience, care, and an even temper to keep things moving - literally.

In the past, my partner and I used Midas with great results. I unfortunately can’t say the same for our last move.

The packers Midas sent us packed less than 20% of our 3 bedroom apartment in 10hours. Then they lied to their supervisor about what was left to pack in the unit. The packers who came the next day were faster, but they forgot to pack a whole closet, packed our plants in boxes with clothing (creating a mess), didn’t label anything, and broke multiple delicate items.

The move took a long time because our new apartment is far from the building’s entrance. We thought our movers knew this since they’d done moves here before. They claimed they did not know what to expect. In the process, they failed to put things in the correct rooms because the packers didn’t label anything.

After 12+ hours of moving, Justin (the lead mover) stormed into my apartment, yelled at me about not appreciating him, demanded full payment even though the move was still incomplete, and refused to calm down or lower his voice despite my urging. It was uncalled for, unprofessional, and scary.

While I recommended Midas widely in the past, I simply can’t recommend them anymore.

We were patient and understanding the entire time and paid everything they asked. There was absolutely no reason to get aggressive with me at 10pm. At no point did I raise my voice to Justin or say anything rude. My partner was understandably frustrated at how long things were taking and routinely asked for updates and complained (it was their closet that was left behind). Justin couldn’t handle it and took it out on me. I hate to say it but his childish temper is just not suited for this kind of work.

I can’t recommend these movers anymore - especially for women and non-binary people. I doubt he would’ve yelled at a grown man the way he yelled at me.

I used Midas Movers for some furniture assembly for my job and Kieran was great. He was very responsive when I texted him for status updates and had questions and send me pictures along the way as well. He even sent me a picture of the furniture and himself when the job was completed which I found very entertaining...lol.

Before booking the job I emailed Midas for a quote and the owner Justin was very prompt in responding as well. I sent him the link of the furniture that needed to be assembled and the address and that was all that was needed. The quote was MUCH lower than the quote Wayne movers gave me and when the job was done, the quote was the actual price, not more than the quote!

Overall, highly recommend. Companies like this make it easy to support small, local, bipoc businesses.

Our experience with Midas Movers was simply amazing! Since I was arranging the move from Texas, everything had to be coordinated via email or phone. I got estimates from at least seven companies, but Justin at Midas Movers stood out immediately. He responded quickly to my calls and patiently answered all my questions without pressuring me to commit.

We ultimately chose Midas Movers, though we were understandably nervous as the move was arranged mostly via phone. Justin kept in touch 24 hours before the move and even helped address last-minute concerns, which gave us peace of mind.

On the moving day, the crew—Justin, Abe, and McHenry—arrived exactly on time. Despite pouring rain and the challenges of parking in downtown Philadelphia, Justin handled everything calmly and efficiently. The team was incredibly thorough and careful with our belongings, ensuring not a single item was scratched or broken—even with some loose furniture pieces.

Unloading and reassembling furniture was done quickly yet meticulously, and they finished the entire process on time. What could have been a stressful day turned into a breeze thanks to their calm demeanor, organization, and professionalism.

I whole heartedly recommend Midas Movers! If you’re looking for reliable, efficient, and thoughtful movers, this is the team to choose.

The only movers I trust. Justin and his team helped me move twice already. Each time they were reliable, professional and made moving day *so much* easier. They not only broke down my bed frame and dining room table in order to bring it downstairs safely, but they quickly reassembled it at my new place. These guys are the best, highly recommend

Outstanding service. I've used Midas Movers for two moves, one was a small job and one was a larger move. Both times their staff has been professional, provided excellent on-time service and they were polite/conscientious toward me and my neighbors in my busy buildings. These guys are awesome. I called quite a few movers and this company was the most accommodating and affordable. They went above and beyond to help me (female moving alone). They were polite and handled my items with care. Literally had move my couch from a window ?
With all that said, they were punctual & quick as hell too! This will be my go to from now on.
