Good afternoon Team Go,

Today my teenager boarded the train to Union Station at West Harbour Station, platform 1, coach #2560, departing at 12:23 p.m.
We met Zach, the Customer Service Ambassador.
He answered all our questions about achieving a career with GO.
He permitted me to board the coach so that I could view how the wheelchair accessible seating is structured.
Zach answered all my questions about traveling with my 81-year-old mom, who will be traveling in a wheelchair in the future, and needing the restroom services of the coach.
Zach was polite, positive, professional, kindly, and treated my teen and I with utmost respect and good humor.
Zach was a good example for my teen to see, since there is interest in pursuing work in transportation services.
Zach's announcements over the system were clear and efficient.
It was a pleasure to meet Zach and see him in his professional career after 14 months on the job.

Thank you Go,
Thank you Zach,
All the best to you.

I personally had a fine time here at about 5pm. Was my first time taking the train and knew beforehand all the information I needed regarding tapping Prestos and having the card already loaded, as well as using Google Maps for schedules. But if you're not as prepared, it looks like this station is lacking in information sources based on other reviews. There also seems to be non-existent washrooms due to the homeless issue. The trains are clean and feel very safe.

Clean and bright. Been through here in summer and winter and it's okay. They have lots of parking and buses stop nearby. There are multiple elevators too. The station itself appears to be unmanned and closed 90% of the time so don't expect washrooms to be available. Typically I walk in from the bus and best way is to come down the large driveway ramp which can take you right to the platform. You can take the stairs down partway down the ramp but I avoid it at night cause homeless people sleep there and don't want to disturb them. Get there early, train always early anyway and they close doors a minute before scheduled to leave. Lots of tapping spots, but if you need to buy a ticket can do right from your phone now eh, don't need to use the machines and risk missing train.

Why are the bathrooms not accessible!! Two hour wait with no access to a washroom is inhuman. If you have staff/ security around till 7pm then those bathrooms need to be accessible for customers. Also security needs to not check for payments a minute before boarding, absolutely ridiculous.

Update: Bathrooms exist but access to them is limited to the glass barrier doors being electronically opened by on site security and only three times in 100 times were they actually accessible, although I have never used it. Next closest public washrooms are at Jackson Square York Street entrance. That's a 15 minute walk. Best bet is to enter mall at Central Library. Take main hall past photocopier but before security office and turn left passing by the automatic book return on your left. If you still don't see signs, turn right.

Hey City of Hamilton Officials, we badly need to have more public restrooms in the north end. With the TINY structures going to be placed here, we really need at the very least one bathroom facility near West Harbour Go. This should be a non locking, but with an indicator that it's occupied porta potty.

As well, in light of recent construction on eastward bound extensions to Go Rail, there will be more passengers so another accessible toilet for more higher functioning folks (commuters, travelers and other fortune housed people) is a necessity. You would need to secure it somehow, I suggest a method whereby one can register to have access to it. Similar to the bike storage space. If this space is being severely under utilized, it should be converted into a public access 'granted,' washroom for all Presto Card holders. If this draconian measure is necessary. Security guards are already overtaxed with monitoring the vulnerable sector. These two solutions may be worth considering.

I use this station quite often for work. The parking lot design is not great, and I see a lot of pedestrians taking the road route which has no sidewalks and is dangerous. The overflow parking lot has no sidewalk to the platforms either. The parking lot is also littered with garbage everywhere, I feel like GO should set a better example and clean it up?
Otherwise, it’s a super convenient station with plenty of parking, and bus accessibility. There is bike parking, and also city bike hubs. The bike parking locker has a waitlist currently.

This is a Much better Option than going to Catch the Go Train in Aldershot or Burlington To go to Toronto or Niagara Falls.Lots of parking nice and Clean.Make sure that you get the Right Train back to Hamilton From Toronto As one goes to the West Harbor and the other only goes to Go Station on Hunter Street.
