Had a fantastic experience with Overland Campers Japan, the bumble bee yellow Land Rover was perfect for our Nagano highlands camping trip! Would recommend OCJ to anyone keen to explore and car camp Japan, the cars are immaculate and well equipped, the team is excellent and their website has loads of great camping and adventure locations, especially Luke’s bucket list. Amazing experience. The guys at Overland were easy to work with and communicate with throughout our rental. The Jimny had everything we needed for a long weekend camping at Mt. Fuji and the rooftop tent was cozy and convenient. If you’re looking to explore Japan’s natural beauty, I couldn’t think of a better way!

It was indeed a memorable and great experience camping with Overland Campers Japan.

1) Booking was easily made, communications were timely. ?
2) Pick up was an ease, they will go through literally everything with you (setting up, previous damages etc.) ?
3) When you’re out, ask them anything! They are very responsive via Insta DMs which is a plus. ⛺️
4) Return process is a breeze, just tell them what time and they’ll be there to meet you. They will take over and you’re done! ?

That being said I’ve already shared with some of my friends of how great the experience was and recommended it to them!

I would like to thank Luke & his team for their professionalism and friendliness. Will definitely be back for more!

Had a memorable and amazing solo camping trip with Overland Campers Japan's white Suzuki Jimny! The service and equipments provided made my camping experience in Japan an absolute breeze.

This super cool white jimny has drawn some attention at the campsite and attracted camping neighbors came chitchat with me. =)

- Booking was quick and clear with instructions
- Car demo video before pick-up is definitely a good overview for hirers
- Pick-up with comprehensive walkthrough on equipments and navigation setup
- An effective communication platform established on Instagram DM for any questions along the way
- Returning of the car was smooth, flexible and easy. Just preempt them the expected ETA early and the team will get ready to take over

Things that I love:-
- Big screen with carplay connection for GPS navigation, Spotify, device mirroring function
- Equipped with fridge
- Equipped with seasoning, cleaning kits, utensils etc
- Large capacity portable battery charger which comes with many different types of ports

Acabamos de terminar nuestro viaje con la Jimny gray, impresionante la verdad. Es super cómoda, hemos hecho 3 días al alrededor del monte Fuji, durmiendo en 2 campings diferentes.

En cuanto al coche, muy bien, es automático y la conducción es muy suave. La tienda de arriba del coche es amplia y cómoda, y la ropa de cama que te dan es bastante abrigada.

En cuanto a la empresa, genial, tanto a la hora del check in como el check out sor super transparentes y te explican todo por si ocurre cualquier emergencia, incluso te animan a que les escribas durante tu viaje por si necesitas algo o tienes dudas.

En definitiva, esta vez fueron solo 3 días pero nos quedamos con ganas de más, asi que si volvemos a japón, que volveremos, lo haremos de nuevo.

Rented the blue jimny for about a week. Tent was cosy and easy to set up. It was cold in the nights but the tent kept us warm at night.

The jimny was a good drive. Powerful on slopes and easy to manoeuvre.

The items provided were adequate. But please check them before leaving. We should have asked for a newer axe and some extra gas stove refills for example...

Other than that. It's a wonderful experience and we had great memories!

Did a 11 day trip to Tōhoku in May and had a lot of fun exploring rural Japan! We rented the Suzuki Jimny Sierra for 2 people. First time using a rooftop tent, so we got to experience the differences to normal tent or campervan camping. We stayed at some campsites but also discovered how convenient it is to just use a michi-no-eki roadside stop or any remote parking spaces.

The car had everything we needed and all further questions we had got prompty answered via chat.
